Depending on the doctrines of your church... But to me I belive you'll tell her first... It's better to face rejection from her personally than getting it from the committee of elders

sammyk sounds like a deeper life. well I was delayed unnecessarily because I told her first and she accepted. when I was asked in the committee of elders the reason for telling her first, I told them it's because I don't want to be rejected, cos I have seen many brothers close to me rejected by sis.

There's no portion of the Bible that says you should notify any man of God before approaching any lady of your choice. All these things are the doctrines churches have created for themselves to guide members in their quest of choosing a partner. U get?

Let me tell you something, your mother is more important than your pastor on this issue. She should be the one you should inform and she will help you in prayers
