I turned and lifted a hand to her to say no vex u here and she moved back sharply and said ,don't touch me with your dirty hands, I would have loved ti say that I gave her a befitting reply but I didn't. I turned and asked her what did you say and she repeated it and said "is that not the hand you were using to touch your bum, please don't touch me with it"

I am the non confrontational type, hate quarrels and would rather enter a hole than confronting someone, I felt those words into the depths of my soul. I am crying again as I type this and even the other nurse felt bad. I was just following her around with my eyes all around the room. this first nurse now gave me a tear and the head popped out and the body followed immediately.

that was around 3.15am Saturday morning. long story short, she sewed me up and that was that.

I went to general hospital cos I had my last baby there and they were wonderful but this birth has shown me that an organization is good depends not on the building or structure in place but on the personnel running the place.

at the end, I went home with my Angel baby girl and she is the greatest gift of all. Please thank God with me mothers.

I really think you should report this incident to the appropriate authority. You may just be saving a life in the future!

I've gone all night without sleeping...

on a different issue, I went to register in a general hospital today at ikorodu ( I just got back to lagos) and believe me ikorodu general hospital is the last place I would ever want to be in... too much protocols, too much movement and very very rude staffs...it is not like their services are free so what's the attitude for... anyway I made up my mind that I'm never returning there...I had my fist child in St . Raphael divine mercy specialist hospital in ijede road but that was 5 years ago, so please any ikorodu mama that has used it recently or knows anything thing about them shld please let me know because I intend going back there as I enjoyed their services before.....

Yes ma, @ Queenhecate, please can you tell us the general hospital? I registered in a general hospital and all these stories are beginning to frighten me. If na make I quick change mind before it's too late

Imagine spacing antenatal between two months, instead of the usual one. My last antenatal was first week of June, and the next was scheduled for July ending. I've not been given any vaccine, (although if they don't still say anything about it this coming antenatal, that's the end of my antenatal there).
I asked about antimalarial meds I can use and the nurse was asking me if I had malaria. I was like, to prevent it na But she waved me off, saying no need.
I overheard a woman who was almost due begging the nurses to shift her next appointment to a week interval instead of the two weeks interval they gave her, cos she was afraid she might deliver before then, but they bluntly shoved her away, that there was nothing they could do
Make I begin reconsider my steps o... Although I met a woman who had her first there and came back for her second. She had good reviews about SOME of the nurses and doctors. I always keep praying that God should direct helpers my way, helpers that will not harm me but will be for my testimony. God gat us in all sha.

please this vigilante is killing me, I had to go back to the hospital yesterday as I nearly had a seizure yesterday. constant headache, chest pain, swollen legs you name it and nobody to do omugwo for me join.

my bp was 180/92 and the doctor prescribed sleeping pills and scolded me that I should sleep when baby sleeps.

fastforward to yesternite and I was looking forward to sleeping as I was told baby will get it from breast milk and sleep too. na so sleep carry me oo but this little rat for wiaaaa.. She woke up her usual 53times when my breast aka her soother removes from her mouth.

am just a walking zombie this morning. my husband is so worried too. I am feeding her now to see if she can drop off so that I can sleep awhile.

I really don't want to go on hypertensive drugs as the doctor threatened.

sleeping after childbirth has always being my problem as if the adrenaline will refuse to come down.

the funniest thing was that the next day being Sunday, the chief matron was walking around and waving complaint forms and asking who has any but I was too traumatized to take any action. all I had in my brain was go home go home go home.

that fall I had about two days before combined with the rough birth messed up my hips and I was unable to work after I was taken to the ward and left there, I dragged my self to the bathroom and began to wash away the blood all over me

to come to the bed now became wahala. it was a fellow mother that rushed me, held me and guided me to the bed that my baby hasw already being kept. I was a tearful mess and just kept saying thank you ma.

I was sobbing as I couldn't lift my leg onto the ward bed and that was when other mamas in the ward got angry and started demanding that they should allow someone to stay with me as I was obviously inacapable. the ward nurse was saying it is against hospital policy.

but the intervention of the other mums now made her come to me and ask what was the matter, I told her about the fall and the non functioning hips and she now gave me sleeping injection.

my story full book oo and I cry whenever I recall it but I hope the unburdening will make some of the pain go away.

This birth story got me so upset. I praise God baby is fine. I must really commend your gentility and patience...that's indeed a gift from God

So i finally went for scan on Wednesday and alhamdulilah everything is going fine, baby weighs 2.4kg (i hope the weight is ok) at 35weeks.

I.don't like the way things are with you. Please what of your mom, mom in law, or even a hired/paid help! You need help please. Tell hubby to get you help please. I don't joke with post partum period. I actually plan it before delivery. Someone should be with you at every point in time. Please you need to take care of yourself to avoid post partum depression, hypertension and other complications. You need to be strong for both you and baby. And that word rat...made me cringe.

Get a breast pump, express enough for at least 2 feeds. When hubby is around dash him the bottles show him where the nappy changing things are.

As soon as you finish breast feeding baby, hand over to hubby, go and lock yourself in a dark room and sleep!

You should get at least 4 hrs before they come and wake you.

queenhecate I read your BS and I was angry cos of the nonchalant attitude of the nurse. But do you want that to continue bothering & increasing your BP? The nurse dy chew gum now for her side, she no even remember your matter.

What matters now is your health dear, your children, hubby even the newborn needs you to be strong. Look at the positive side, relax your mind and you'll heal.

Wao!!! congrats sis, not too good reviews about GGH this days , I for one don't use GH for anything except I have a referral from someone, God is your strength sis, you really need to rest ma, I really wish I could offer help from where I am which is not possible. I was considering going to the hospital for rehydration, but I became okay after few hours of water and rest. My hubby kept asking me what was wrong, but I was ashamed to tell him that I was so irresponsible. The weather report here had already warned us about the heat, but I decided to go out to run errands anyway. I was terribly worried about the baby. Thank God everything is ok.

I'm 13 weeks gone. The end of my first trimester. Kai, I can't wait to feel normal. Its not been easy, vomiting, weakness, fever, less food n fluid, oh I didn't mention the stupid smell. I dare not eat without brushing else everything will come while brushing my tongue.

I hope its really true everything ends this 13th week cus I heard and read in some articles that most 1st pregnancy nausea stops at 18th weeks. I know mine is exceptional. I can't bear these illnesses one more week.

high blood pressure and pre eclampsia has been dealing with me, I take every hypertension drugs for pregnant women yet no change in the bp.. it is now as bad as my bp rises to 186/124... the group of doctors handling my case are just trying to manage me till 35 weeks to undergo CS so that this bp issue will be solved once and for all...I need your prayers...
