With the Knowledge that Jane is in the office after his, Nate worked with so much energy and enthusiasm than he has ever done before.

''It's almost lunch time'' he said as he glanced at his wristwatch.

''I better go before Benfool comes'' he said with a grin.

He finally said that word out, after he left the church the previous day, he inwardly started referring to Benjamin as Benfool, his own kind of silent revenge.

He stood up and tidied his desk, after that he hurried out of the office, as an inner mind kept on telling him that Benjamin would come to take Jane for lunch, if he doesn't get there on time.

He was relieved when he got to her office and saw no sign of Benjamin.

''Good day Jane''

''Good day sir'' she replied.

''Please drop the sir thing, I came to ask if you would like to go for lunch with me?''

Her hand went beside her desk and she brought a food pack out ''Thanks sir, but my sweetheart already brought something for me''

Nate frowned and looked at the well packaged food from Jevinik resturant. ''Is he this jobless?'' he retorted.

''What?'' she asked like she didn't hear what he said at first.

''Nothing, your sweetheart is so nice''

''Ofcourse, he's the best guy I've ever met'' she admitted with a smile and Nate felt his intestines twisting from the intensity of rage that's boiling in him.

''What about me?'' he asked and his hand quickly went to his mouth, he had said the words without thinking ''Never mind, I guess I will just go and eat my food alone, I'm sure it will even taste better'' he said and walked towards the door.

''Thanks for the generous offer, myabe next time'' she answered but he walked out without replying.

He walked into his office and sat down angrily.

The reason he moved the account office closer to his office was for him to keep an eye on Jane and avoid things like; Benjamin this, Benjamin that'

How then did Benjamin come to Jane's office without his notice? He was probably focused on his work

He opened his laptop and started punching the keys angrily.

''To hell with Benjamin'' he yelled as he punched beautiful-nonsense into the computer screen.

He continued like that for a while before he finally got his brain in order and continued working, he couldn't go for lunch again, he's lost his appetite and moreover, he only wanted to go for lunch because it would give him a chance to sit and talk with Jane.

K.C has been in the teaching hospital for the past two hours, waiting for an opportunity to confront Doctor Raphael.

He finally got lucky when Doctor Raphael came out with a busty and skimpily dressed lady.

He waited until the lady drove off before he walked to the Doctor.

''Good afternoon Mr'' he said to him and the doctor turned back and smiled at him.

''I don't like you'' he blurted out, when the doctor kept on smiling sheepishly.

''Neither do I like you'' the doctor answered sharply.

He rolled his eyes at the doctor before continuing ''I just came here to warn you, to stay away from Dami''

The door clapped and then began laughing loudly, afterwards he waved his hand at K.C and muttered ''You are just her friend''

''I'm not just any friend, I'm a close friend and I don't like you around her'' he answered defensively.

''I'm her boyfriend and soon to be husband, so shush, I have a patient to attend to'' The doctor answered and walked away, laughing.

K.C cussed as he stood, staring at the doctor's retreating figure.

''I hate you Raphael, I hate you'' he rasped and walked to his car.

Ken was sitting quietly in his office thinking about what he did earlier and wondering if things would get complicated if his wife finds out.

The previous day, Kath had called and pleaded with him to give her some money so she could go to India for her surgery, without thinking twice, he agreed and she thanked him.

He couldn't bring himself to tell his wife about it, he knew she would misinterprete things, if he told her, so he kept his mouth shut.

He sighed and deleted all the thank you message that Kath has been sending, since he sent the six million naira into her account.

Nate closed from work and was about going, when his eyes scanned the car park and he couldn't help but smile, as he didn't spot Jane's car.

He quickly rushed back upstairs to her office. He's finally gotten an opportunity to spend time with her.

''Jane, I noticed your car is not in the car park'' he said, while keeping a neutral voice and a worried expression.

''Yeah, Ben..

''Benjamin did what, did he collect the car back?'' he asked with genuine concern.

''Don't be ridiculous, My sweetheart is not like other guys, he can never do such a thing''

''Then why didn't you come with the car''

''He said he would come to pick me today, that he has somewhere special he would like to take me to''

''I see, bye'' he replied and rushed out.

Back in his car, he started punching his chairs angrily.

''I hate all this, why am I being punished like this? Why?''
