aljharem:What a bad choice of music... How can you pick this song where like 95% of everything there is Arabic and say it is an Ebira song lol. If anyone want to hear pure Ebira language, listen to these: Contemporary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hqgzh71bkc Traditional https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9QUFGjUH0g |

aljharem:Obviously not when it's mixed with Arabic. Ebira obviously has some Igbo-sounding elements else this wouldn't be up for discussion at all. |

Probz:One unique thing about Ebira language is the plenty use of V and Z. I don't think any language in Nigeria use those two letters like Ebiras do, except perhaps Nupe and Gbagyi. |

Japanese, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, etc and Ebira have a common origin in the first language spoken by human beings here in Nigeria. That language was ancient Sanskrit. For example, the Ebira name: Okino is also Japanese. The Igbo name: Chika is also Japanese. The original Japanese were Black People who migrated to Asia when Igbo, Ebira, etcwere were still within the Ancient mother language. To show how ancient Ebira language is: Adam (first human in Genesis creation myth) in Ebira is Ada' am (my father) Eve(second human in Genesis creation myth) in Ebira is Eva (number 2) |

The Op is correct, Ebira is not too far from Igboland and it's normal that they will be influenced by igbos, however the Ebira language sound closer to Yoruba language than Igbo. |

This is very true, brother. I'm Igbo, living in Abuja. I live in a compound with Igbirra Muslims, but every day, I feel like I'm among Nsukka people (I also stayed in Nsukka for six years). The language sounds so much like Igbo, but I don’t understand a thing. They talk, and I listen because it sounds so much like Igbo. This isn’t just about similar words—mostly the way they speak that makes it sound Igbo, especially Nsukka Igbo. Mind you, Igala, on the other hand, sounds Yoruba to me. But Igbirra—even some of their music—sounds so Igbo. |
