Had to stand up and check all connections again.

Pipe work is fine, just these children that don't pay attention in class.

Evaporator no leak, major pipe work no leaks.

Let's move over to condenser.

in a perfect situation I would have replaced the condenser.

But I'm working on a tight budget, so let's work with what we have.

Re-install condenser, block 1 side, connect other side to system, then vacuum again.

thankfully I do not have to work at super speed, and I have been told to take my time.

So today was spent on aesthetics of the engine bay.

Most times the only difference between a Nigerian used car part and a foreign used one is dirt!

Our bad roads make every thing really messy.

If a car owner is in the habit of cleaning up the engine bay frequently it also helps to avoid a build up.

Today all we did was house keeping. grin

the 2gr-fe engine designed for the RX350 comes with a coolant cooled engine oil cooler. It is a good design, to bring down engine temperatures especially when towing

Unfortunately this design is plagued with problems. Rubber pipes are used to transfer the hot engine oil from the engine to the cooler and back.

There have been a lot of reports about ruptured and leaking pipes which result in a quick death of the engine.

To avoid this costly mishap, metal pipes have been designed.

Sadly I am yet to see a tokumbor engine in nigeria with metal oil cooler piping.

Hopefully I will get to see one today.

If I do not, I will buy a 2gr-fe engine designed for the toyota avalon or its kind that is designed without an engine oil cooler.
