StephDamielola:READ THE ARTICLE t said the Gnami and Pakau communities enjoyed uninterrupted power from the 90- kilowatt Solar PV off - grid system installed in the areas, as the villages were far from the reach of the national power grid. GET the point? GO and meet your local DISCO and ask them for that type of solution. |

OBAGADAFFI:It's not a matter of producing or not. They took it upon themselves to install solar grid. You can as well choose to that in your village, no one will stop you. You don't need to go sentimental all the time bro. It's nonsense and childish. |

I always think about this, why can't each state find a way to generate electricity themselves? Like each state should sign agreement with some firm, build plant that will generate maybe 1,500kw? Is this not possible? |

Unproductive omplaints galore. 3 choices await this whining, cowardly, down trodden generation and it has been long coming. 1. Dissolve Nigeria or grab the bull by the horn, be brave, courageous and break away like biafra advocates. Bless Kanu et al. 2. Revolt. 3. Stfu and suffer while smiling with that nasty twale baba nonsense. |

If the Nigerian government is serious there will be nothing like "Power failure" in Nigeria. North can get electricity generated 24/7 if the solar capacity of the region is well harnessed. Talk of humidity. The North is well known for high temperatures. Southwest. This region has an aquatic proximity second only to the Niger Delta. With Hydro Turbines I think the southwest can be self sufficient in power generation. Southeast. With Enugu know for its vast deposits of coal, ties with darkness for people of this region ought to have been severed a long time ago. As big as China is, majority of its citizens get their power from coal. Niger Delta. This region is one of the most unfortunate in terms of Natural Resources and benefits. I am not trying to dabble into politics cos I might vent unnecessarily. This is the only region whose non use of its natural resources in the generation of electricity is adversely affecting it. The gas that is meant to provide electricity for the people is being flared to the double detriment of the people. I believe that with the stoppage of gas flaring and building of gas powered turbines, the people of that region can breathe fresh air and sleep without worrying about heat. Conclusion. Some might want to say "People are talking about sources of pure and renewable energy you are talking about a coal plant in Enugu". Mind you, the people clamouring for "Global Warming" were the ones who used all these methods including coal to generate energy for God knows how long. They have moved up technologically hence the ditching of the former. Would China shut all its coal plant and allow power cut to its citizens and industries without providing an alternative because there is global warming?, Hell NO!!!. Lets be wise!!!. |

OBAGADAFFI:You obviously didn't read the article. The communities in question were never part of the grid in the first instance. There are several communities like that across the country. It is down to each community to take the bold step. Aside that, there are several estates that are already off-grid. It's called being self-independent bro. |
| Re: Gnami & Pakau In Kaduna Record Two-Year Uninterrupted Power Supply – FG by OBAGADAFFI: 10:34am On Jul 26, 2017 |
Misterdhee1:That the point i am making, let every community(Papalanto, Olorunsogo etc.) with power-plant, take that bold step in go off-grid. |

This national grid is the bane of epileptic power supply in Nigeria. Let's decentralize the grid and let each region consume according to its production and bargaining power. |
