Thank goodness!!

I've always wanted us to get this as a QRF vehicle. Cameroun and Ethiopia use the GAIA Thunder in this role. We also saw the Plasan Sandcat used by the Senegalese in Mali.

Is this for the Air Force?

So, where is the ARA? cool cool

GAIA Thunder, below
they both look distant cousin

They should very soon. I think they're on the way to start with Proforce while so seeking Government approval for the handheld models to be used by our security agencies.

It is fantastic.

The Nigerian army should purchase 70 units of these vehicles. This should complement the VBLs already in service allowing the army to deploy light armour more rapidly.

Why is it that African countries don't harm helicopter in a heavy way?

because they would rather fly around high ranking officers than utilise them for tactical operations

70 unit is too small. say 200 up minimum.
the Ara is also needed to complement the pf2.

My own post.

About the UAV,  that thing doesn't seem to be flying anytime soon.  I hope in 10-12 months as funding and technology will take a very long time.  It will also be using a turbine engine. Less noise etc.  I should be able to share the UAV design plan and parameters later on today. Yes,  the UAV also uses a transponder and can be turned off manually by the team on ground.

Haha I know much about the company because

1) Family stake in the company (investments)
2) Am among the group that developed the Encryption blablabla. (Present on my linkdln)
3) company biggest funding are from two companies (1) Parent Company : Demfas Multiservices and Glosad Nigeria.

4) Passing different tests, it dwarfed some radio in use by our military and police etc
5) They're currently working on some govt projects too.

6) Should receive her first investment from a non sister company soon. I think after that she should be fully public.

200 seems like a more reasonable number. I just hope, that's a confirmed order from the Nigerian Air Force, and not just a marketing ploy by the company.

Yes that's still in development. ToT just got finalized and that one is being planned specifically for NAF.

A prototype is out . However in this, Demfas Aerosystems is designing a different encryption module to be used on it. The hardware part just got ready as of yesterday.

The only complain and issue is having to import some stuff here and the dollar issue in making payment to suppliers.

I didnt say anything because I was still looking for more info. But its the tanks on the left that interests me.

I think the one you put a box around is a type 88 - look at the smoke dispensers.

The one on the left is the one I cant figure out. Either T72 or Type 99. T72 road-wheels but that ERA is Type 99-ish.

IDK WTF is going on anymore

NAF DEPLOYS TO TAKUM TO MAINTAIN PEACE

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed one of its armed helicopters to Takum, Taraba State to give support to the ground forces in the effort to maintain peace in the area. The deployment of the helicopter is also to deter warring communities within the area from further engaging in violent activities. The helicopter is already carrying out armed reconnaissance missions within the Mambilla Plateau and environs.

It will be recalled that pockets of violence broke out recently around the Mambilla Plateau resulting in the loss of lives and property. The communal unrest between graziers and farmers subsequently led to the imposition of a curfew. It therefore became necessary to deploy NAF air assets towards maintaining peace and providing air cover for ground troops. So far, members of the communities have been observed to be going about their business in peace.

Meanwhile, another NAF helicopter will soon be deployed to Kafanchan, Kaduna State in support of the ground forces already working to maintain peace in the area. The helicopter will operate from a new NAF Forward Operating Base being established in Kafanchan, as part of the Federal Government's efforts to ensure lasting peace in Southern Kaduna State.

This is the best I can upload.

The UAV program has gone far with the program files etc amounting over 13GB in size.

Had no access to the specification sheet as the place itself was not open.

Engine : sourced from a German company.

Alot of foreign contractors and expert had to get involved but project is ongoing still.

I wish I could attach the picture but once there's something I can attach, I'll update.

Hopefully, a prototype should fly next year January or end of this year.

Wait what kind of UAV are you talking about here? Like a little quad copter or something that needs a runway.

AFIT Kaduna has somepeople involved.

Armament staff,
Design team and engineering.

All boils down to funding. Everything has been financed by the sister company all through. However, the project is expecting funding very soon so that's why I said hopefully December to January next year, something big should be out.

I'll upload a copy of some of the project patent tomorrow.
