''Ken, you haven't eaten something solid for the past two days, please get up'' Vicky pleaded pushing him back and forth. When he refused to open his eyes nor answer her, she went closer and rested her body on his.
''Sweetheart, stop doing this to yourself, you didn't kill your mother''

''My dad thinks I killed her, so who am I to think otherwise'' Ken answered softly.

''But you didn't, how could you have killed your mum at age 5?''

''I have no idea, she died in a car accident, so I don't know why my dad is accusing me of killing her'' he said with tears crowding into his eyes.

''You didn't kill anyone, please get up, mum is worried about you and even little Kelvin has been moody since'' she pleaded and he finally sat up.

''I killed my mum, even though I don't know how''

''Ken, shhhhh, you didn't kill your mum, your dad will have to explain that statement to us, we will visit him on saturday, just you and I, please stop all this''

Ken sat with tears in his eyes, he has always thought that his dad hated him because of what his step-mum said about him but it just occured to him that the hatred started after his mum's death, he could still remember those times that his dad would lock him up in the bathroom, simply because he didn't bath well or he didn't finish bathing on time and he will stay there, crying until anytime his step-mum feels like unlocking the door. The number of times he missed school because of that were uncountable, his dad's interest in him reduced to zero-level when his step mum started having children and he became just like a shadow in the house; the kid with old toys, his sisters used to tease him, he never blamed them, it wasn't their fault that his dad refused to get him any toy after his mum's death.

''Ken, what are you thinking, please get up'' his wife's voice jerked him back to present.

''I wish dad didn't leave that day, I wish he explained to me how I killed my mum or why he thinks I killed her''

''But since he didn't, just let it go, we will visit him on saturday, maybe he will be able to tell you the reason why he thinks so'' Vicky assured him. Dragging his hand up, she added ''Now, get up and shower, I prepared something delicious for you, Vegetable soup and Semovita, please get up''

He muttered ''thanks'' and climbed down from the bed ''I will just shower and come out''

''I'm waiting, don't take long'' Vicky answered and he nodded and left.

She sat down on the bed, time for serious thinking! Why would Ken's dad accuse him of killing his mum? The accusation really stunned everyone that day, but when he was asked to explain himself, he stormed out of the house, with his handbag in form of a wife following him closely, ever since then Ken has not been himself.

''I'm back'' Ken announced and she looked up to him with smiles, he looks better and his smile has been restored probably by the cold shower.

''Let's go down, the food is getting cold'' she replied, taking his hand in hers.

''Thanks wifey''

''Babies pick up moods, you better don't make my son cry, cheer up and smile'' she warned playfully and they laughed while heading downstairs.

''Do you have any plans for saturday evening'' she asked.

''ouch! She's already missing me and it's not even weekend yet'' Nate said and came behind her and threw his hands around her.

Snuggling up to him, she answered ''Don't be silly, Benjamin invited us for his Fiancee's birthday party''

''Uh! Fiancee?''

''Yeah, his Traditional marriage is in a month time, are you surprised?''

''No, not really, but how come he spends so much time with you?''

''He's his own boss, you would be more surprised to hear that he spends more time with his fiancee'' Jane replied.

''oh-oh, too bad, I already have plans for saturday'' He answered and Jane frowned at him.
