I have been around on nairaland for quite some time now to witness how the atheist try to sell their faith to all and sundry. To them, they have read the Bible and have known the truth. Some even claimed the Bible never existed. They say they are now atheists because they have read the Bible.

So, here is a question Christians should answer. Why are you still a Christian?

To me, I am a Christian for the following reasons

1. I have found the truth in the words Of The scriptures and these truths have shaped my life.

2. I have found peace and fulfilment

3. Most importantly, I have found Jesus

Jesus loves you.

The word "christian" had lost taste and meaning that o don't even know how to answer the question....but if your definition of a christian still mean here as those who behave/live like "Christ" or live to conform to His image, then my answer will be that i've found Christ to be the only way that leads to God and He makes all the difference in my life.

Because I trust and believed in christ

am a Christian Cus I fear God

If my parents were in other religion, and breed me up there, I wouldn't have been a Christian today


If Christians practice what the Bible teaches, there would have been relative peace in the world particularly IGBO LAND that is predominantly christians

Sometime people see christianity as a title, such that addressing someone as a christian gives one aura of achievement like someone earning a phd etc

But really, the whole idea of christianity is to guide humans to do the right things, think and treat ur neighbour as ur friend, be free from hate, helpeople when you can

So how I see it, been an athiest, a christian, a muslim etc are just mere titles if your heart is evil,unkind, unforgiving etc

My conclusion is, be good and true to urself and your neighbors too, have a clean conscience and stop worrying about who is a christian or not, leave that part for God

Because I was born into a Christian home by Christian parents. I could have been a Muslim or Buddhist or Hindu if my parents were one.

I have always being a Christian. My faith in Christendom became even more stronger after a discussion I had with my Egyptian (a Muslim) doctor in Cairo about 4 or 5 days ago. This my doctor is more or less my friend. Very nice man. I don't like to remember this story because it reminds me the sorry state of Nigeria's health sector which to me, is hell fire. Please permit me to digress a little bit. In Cairo, I was diagnosed with Kidney stones. Has anyone experienced such before? How did it go?

Now, to the main issue. In the course of my discussion with my doctor, we delved into religious matters. I have always tried my best to avoid religious arguments, especially when I am in any Muslim countries, but I discovered my doctor was so eager to discuss it. So, I made up my mind that there will be no argument whatsoever. This man told me how Islam recognized the fact that Jesus's conception wasn't done with a man, in other words, that no man impregnated Mary, the mother of Jesus but denied that God has a hand in Jesus's conception, thereby denying that Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He said that Jesus was like any other prophets like Moses, Abraham etc. To my surprise, he told me Islam also recognizes that Jesus will come back to this world again. I was like, really? He also acknowledged that Jesus didn't die, that there was no crucifixion of Jesus, that he only ascended to Heaven. He also told me the history of their prophet Mohammed and how he started convincing people to believe in his teaching. How he was chased out of Mecca to Medina, etc. How fought people and what led to those fights. My people, this man told me a lot of which time will not permit me to write all here. But at the end of our discussion, I did a comparing and contrasting of what he said and came to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God. My faith in God grew more afterwards.

To be a Christian for me in not by chance but to accomplished GOD manifestation. I am created by GOD to a Christian and nobody can question that period.

Please what did he tell you that boosted your faith
That God is responsible for the bubbling economy of the Egyptians or they had discovered the house where Jesus stayed when he was in Egypt

Why not just ask your questions while keeping it plain and simple? When the atheists come storming your thread demanding your head for the misconception and lie as indicated in the emboldened sentences like ants attracted to the scent of sugar, your fellow Christians will start screaming blue murder that the atheists have come again.
