So on 11th I woke up on a very positive note, I will go for ANC, then go do my facials, pedicure and buy my cosmetics in preparation for actual EDD of 20th .
When I got to the clinic, my BP was very high so the doc advice that an emergency cs was the best option at that time to avoid stories that touch.
On 12th, my BP had risen to 190/140, I was somehow stabilized and wheeled to the theatre and baby delivered.
The devil tried and failed, to God be the glory. The baby was given a very big cut on the face when my belly was cut, and he got 6stitches as a new born. As if that was not enough, we got admitted at neo natal for jaundiced. I also lost so much blood, but I thank God it all ended in Praise.

Lord have mercy, some of this medical personnel can be very annoying. What if that cut had met baby's eyes? Sorry will be the next thing. Mwctew...... Congrats ma, in all these you were more than conqueror.

Wow! What kind of doctor did that surgery? Abi is it student doctor but some still smart sef? I thank God on your behalf o! Glory be to God it ended in praise.

Allah has been so faithful to us. Just four preg remaining. Waoww. So its just a matter of hours before we meet our cuties. Thanks cappo.
Contractions have been doing me shege. They are now accompanied by very painful menstrual cramp and the urge to urinate and poo. It happened to me the previous night so much i couldn't even sleep. But they were irregular. The wicked stuff continued yesterday morning til evening. Na so I carry bag go hospital o, only to be checked and cervix stil closed. I was sent back home by force. Then It reduced yesterday night only to start again around 12:30am. To sleep na big war. This morning I saw something like mucus plug stained with blood but very little. I have decided nt to go back to the hospital until I see plenty mucus or my water broke. So right now its happy endurance hrs to me.

Which August baby? I beg, carry that your bump to hospital now because LO don ready to come now.

Doctors do make mistakes during CS and cut babies. 2 cases I know of (one a mum from here) happened in the UK (which has better health care than Nigeria). And no, student doctors are not allowed to carry out CS. Another case, the surgical team pulled on the Newborn so hard (to remove from the womb) that they dislocated the baby's arm. Also happened abroad. In the US, horrendous stories exist when it comes to things going wrong with nurses and midwives, especially during homeopathic births. My uncle (a well-known surgeon and CMD of a hospital in the UK) lost a mum on the operating table because she reacted poorly to the anesthesia (it made her haemorrage and no-one noticed because she seemed to be doing fine after the surgery, until they went to check on her and she was fading). All these cases happened in well-maintained and staffed hospitals outside the country.

You cannot deliver at your own job 100% every single day, every minute, nobody can.

A lot can go wrong during birth, human error and medical error and sometimes it's just not your day error. Be very thankful when your journey ends smoothly.
All you can do is your part, stay fit, eat well, know your medical info off the top of your head (what's your blood type, are you allergic to anything, any lifestyle choices that could effect you, has anything been off in the past week, what have you been treated for recently)
Your spouse should know your basic medical info (in case you cannot answer), have your financial stash ready to pay for any emergencies and choose a good hospital. And pray.

I can relate, my mil used to be that way with my first baby, she would cry about how my baby needs water, she goes like how will I feel if I don't take water after food, and I go, how will someone crave somthing he's never had. She would advice me to supplement bf with fomula, because baby is hungry, that's why he wakes up at night to cry and then will also complain about my not always wearing him a hat and not wrapping him up all the time, like is my baby some moi-moi or what . When she realized I wasn't one to cave, she let me be. This time she just goes with the flow, my only problem with her this time is, *sigh* gotdamn I'm about to die of repeat gist overdose, she can't stop talking, I try to boycott as much as possible, when I hear her slow footsteps approaching my bedroom, I quickly Make my phone sleep and begin to snore like I'm asleep, the other day, I almost got got, I didn't know she shut the door while still in the room to pull out her dress hooked by the door knob, and I stood up to use the bathroom, but she backed me so I quickly laid down. Just this morning, she told me she read on fb that a snake can hide in a toilet and bite your stuff when sitting on it, since then I have been so scared and standing to pee till I Googled. I cant.

According to my LMP, EDD is 9th september, 1st scan 2nd September, subsequent ones 28th August, i honestly wish for an August baby. Been drinking zobo like water without adding anything for now like water.hope i am safe. I feel lighter and baby is kicking well as well

BS.....Started having waist pains without sleeping on the 17th,on the 18th by 11am which was my EDD,I went to the hospital but doctor said there was no sign of labour,he decided to check my blood pressure which was high.He asked me to rest for two hours before I go home and after two hours the BP has increased.It kept increasing and by 6pm he asked me to call my husband to bring my things that I have to be induced.My princess came out by 3pm on the 19th with a small cut but was admitted at the neonatal for jaundice and we were discharged on the 26th.
I just return all glory to God almighty. I was told I had large fibriod before I got married in 2014 but through out my pregnancy it was not mentioned .Without any treatment,I got pregnant in 2016 and I had a smooth pregnancy and a supernatural child birth .

MY BIRTH STORY
I was already tired of being pregnant, tried all means, sex, walking long distances, and I started eating pineapples like my life depended on it, and it happened, I started having contractions slight ones though, slept on that Wednesday night, woke up on Thursday and the contractions were still light, and then my friend came visiting and I told her, she shouted and said I shld head to the hospital, I called my husband and he said same ,my friend quickly called a cab, and we headed to the hospital. When I got there, they checked me, and I was already 3cm, and they admitted me ,gave me an injection and waited till the following morning for the contractions to become more frequent but it didn't, I was checked again Thurs morning, I was still 4cm,hmmm OK na, they took me to the labour ward and inserted oxytoxin drip, the contractions started becoming more painful and frequent, meanwhile my water had not broken at that point, so the doctor decided to break it manually, na Im wahala start o, I saw something like a scissors and I started telling them stories of how they didn't have to break my water manually with my first child. The doctor tried to convince me that it wasn't painful and all, OK na, let's start, and then drama started, that shii is painful ..i screamed, the doctor got angry and said I wasnt staying well o she left and went to sit down, I started speaking in tongues, and gave myself time, after about 30mins I told her I was ready and then she broke my water, and then the contractions hit me like a hurricane, tornado and tsunami all at the same time, I began to sweat, and speak in a million tongues, I started counting minutes, about 45minutes after my water broke, I felt the urge to push and my beautiful 2.6kg baby came out screaming and yelling ,I was cleaned up after the placenta came out and my baby was given to me.

I had about five different EDDs ranging from 29 July -6 Aug that's my LmP calculations. But I told God that I wanted my baby in July and He did it, I also prayed against tear, cos I dread the sunction like crazy and he also did it by giving me a small baby Lol. But in all, I give thanx to God cos he was faithful and still faithful. Had a very short labour and God also rewarded me with my heart desire. To him I return all the praise.
Please dont mind my long story o, it's too much joy that's causing it.

I started having watery discharge arnd 10:30pm on Thursday, so I knew it was my water breaking. Was happy dt finally, I would meet my lo. 30mins later,contraction started going and coming with little pains. I Thot it would be bearable till around 5am when I would be able to go to d hospital. Alas, around 3am,d contractions intensified, quickly managed to take a warm bath cos to stand upright was getting difficult. I told dh dat he needs to call a neighbor to help us to d hospital. All ds was around quarter to 4. Even in d car, I could not sit properly, was feeling so uncomfortable. We got to d hospital around 4am. Was checked and I was already 9cm. After two pushes, my princess popped out around 4.15am crying out her lungs. There was no tear. All thanks to the Almighty for giving me a supernatural delivery. It can only be God.

This my teamie just keeps describing the exact symptoms I feel except that I don't spit.

I vomit anything I eat no matter how hard I try to keep it down. Everything smells bad too.

I'm always hungry even feel dizzy at times but I find it difficult to eat. Hubby says it's cos I'm scared of vomiting, maybe that's true sha.
