Where do I get the spinster hood certificate from ? I wasn't born before 92 but when I went to NPC, I was told I should get the attestation of age instead of the CTC stamp, hope that is OK? I'm tired jor. I stay in Abuja, dunno where I can get the PCC. Where can I find a certified translator here in Nigeria ? What gives them room to investigate one's certificate ?

I am kinda new on nairaland hence my inability to use the forum. how does when start a new thread? I was awarded a scholarship from the university of jaen and I am at a loss as to what to do. any one here as an idea? I saw several Igbo names on the published list in the schools Web site

Hello Everyone,

I won the Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship Scheduled to commence this September in UAB. I am currently sourcing for my documents for legalization.

Please, I was born in 1988 and my birth certificate is laminated. Moreover, my third name is missing on it. Kindly advise me on what to do in this regard, as I do not want to make avoidable mistake.

Thanks.

CTC should be done at the office of the registrar. It should be on a photocopy of your cert.

Good evening House! I recently got admission to the University of Barcelona less than a month ago and I have done the authentication of my documents (BSc Certificate and Transcript) but the embassy said they will have to investigate.

Please can they legalise a copy of the documents at the consulate in Lagos while the investigation is on going? Because I have to send a copy of the legalised copy to the school in order to be able to pay for both the international acceptance fee and the tuition fee.

No,,you will have to wait for the investigation to complete.. You can write your school and explain to them and send the scanned copies of the original to them

Alright then. Thank you.

Than then means I have to resume late. But the school requires my documents to be legalised by the Spanish Consulate before I can pay, but with what you have told me I will have no option but to wait.

Thank you again.

Hello, are they investigating your Birth certificate as well?.... And did u get d CTC stamp at NPC?, because the reply I got said something about CTC stamp on the Birth certificate.
Re: Spanish Student Visas by Ayoninuoluwa: 8:52am On Aug 03, 2017
They are not investigating my birth certificate just my BSc certificate and transcript. But NPC will certify on your birth certificate if it comes from them I guess.

Hi all. Thanks for all the info. I have one more question though. I have an appointment to legalize my documents but I'm currently not in the country. Can my sister submit the documents for me? I read from the appointment letter that only legal representatives duly accredited can submit documents on behalf of anybody. Does my sister qualify if she Provides her id or do they mean I should get a lawyer?

Also the ministry of edu refused to legalize my transcript. They said it's a confidential doc and they won't legalize (I applied for a student's copy but it still bears the name of the school where they sent the original)
Hello, hw did u eventually legalize your documents?... Was your sister able 2 submit it 4 u?..... I'm considering asking someone 2 do mine as well.

Hey y'all. I have sent a mail to the Spanish consulate Lagos to book appointment for legalization. My documents have being legalized by the ministry of foreign affairs and translated. I want to know how much I should go with because this will be by God's grace the 1st time I'll be going to study overseas. Bsc to be precise.

Secondly, do I require my sponsors bank statement when going. And he will I need to go with CAC certificate.

Also what should his bank statement be like because I'm hearing people here talking about having enough balance for the duration of study.

For those that have an idea, I'll gladly appreciate your input (now I know what it's like to seek for visa.. .better piss dey hol me for the past 1 month)

Hello Paul, please I wanna ask please, when you authenticated your documents at the ministry, particularly the birth certificate, was it Birth certificate you used or Atestation of birth certificate.
And
Where did you authenticate it Lagos or Abuja. Or perhaps can anyone kindly reply please. (Having a hard time getting that Atestation birth certificate documents) so I wanna know if the normal birth certificate from NPC can as well be authenticated.

Thank you!
Re: Spanish Student Visas by paulodangelo(m): 5:33pm On Aug 06, 2017
Documents we authenticated and legalized at the ministry if foreign affairs Abuja. That's where mine was done. An educational consultancy firm are the ones that handled that. If you were born before 1992, you'll need the attestation of birth from NPC and the declaration of age from court of competent jurisdiction and they both are to be legalized.

Hope that helps and please to everyone contributing on this forum God bless you all. Continue assisting those of us that need the counsel as I have not had hassles in my application since I joined the forum.

Thanks bruh!

One more question pls. Is it true I have to send my Weac result to the embassy directly from weac?

I was just wondering why, coz I didn't even use Waec result when applying for admission. Did you do same?

(Thanks for your guidance bruh)

Re: Spanish Student Visas by paulodangelo(m): 1:33pm On Aug 11, 2017
Dimeji, my is whether Madera or undergrad or PhD, you'llm need to go to WAEC office and request that your result be sent to the consulate. You are not to take it there yourself.

However you'll need to go with your original waec result given to you and also send it to theIbistry of Education and Foreign Affairs for legalization. After that you should find a recognized translator to translate your documents to Spanish (I did mine in Spain because the embassy does not recognize the ones done here. Unless someone on nairaland has a suggestion). All these can be done at once before you book an appointment for legalization.

Pending on your choosing program, undergrad will take a month, masters will be 3 months because they will investigate your degree. Either way, you need to do things quickly but pay attention to detail. Hope this helps.

I suggest you just Google it, and you could also check study portal. But majorly just Google what you're looking for. You'd get all that there is.
Best of luck!

How much is cheap accommodation for student in Barcelona around UPC and how can someone get one? I am seeing something like €400/month in UNIPLACE which is too high.

Just putting it out there for the benefit of others,
Waec is NOT needed to be sent to the embassy.

This information goes out to Master's degree applicants.

And somewhere along the lines in this thread as well, it was stated/Confirmed that Waec isn't needed to be sent to the embassy for Master's degree applications.

Save your 10naira!!!

I don't know buh, for a state capital like that, 400 would PROBABLY be their cheap. Especially Barcelona and Madrid.
Buh then you can use the search filter to search a range of the amount on your mind, or consider other agencies / websites.
Best of luck!
Re: Spanish Student Visas by Nobody: 8:32pm On Aug 23, 2017
But €400 is too much for a single bed student one room. Even in UK, you can get as low as £97. €400 ≈ N170k and £45≈N45K. Why Spain come cost pass
Re: Spanish Student Visas by paulodangelo(m): 9:46pm On Aug 24, 2017
Use spotahome.com You can get cheaper ones there. The most important thing is to settle in the place. I believe when one gets used to the environment you will be able to find better alternatives. But yeah Spain is quite expensive.

€250 is still on a high side. That's is about N107k . Compare to UK of about £97 ≈ N 45k . Or is there any possibility of working and studying in Spain? Trying to rely on personal savings. But this accommodation price is really scary u know.
