In India, this baby will be operated on and it will be surgically removed... in Nigeria, throwing the baby away is the option... SMH

I believe the Zika virus could lead to birth defects in babies whose mother's were exposed to it before birth.

ANENCEPHALY is the name of the condition.
It is easily detected with routine pregnancy scans.
A number of fetuses die in the womb, while those that make it to delivery die not long after.
A combo of absent skull and varying degrees of absent brain tissue.
Just one folic acid tablet a day would hav prevented this unfortunate occurrence.

This is a pure case of ANENCEPHALY. Most commonly caused by FUMONISINS mycotoxins usually found in moudy maize.

That's possibly caused by Zika and if detected earlier in Nigeria now couples will be warned of giving birth within 2 years of the period. I think that was how they solved the problem in Brazil and some Asian countries.
