Poor background doesn't mean you should spend extravagantly, there are some things that are not expected of a pastor, they loose what they carry in the sight of individuals.

You can buy all the exotic cars you want as long as you purchase them with your own hard earned money, NOT church money. The church money (tithes and offerings) are for evangelism. Pastors, if they serve the church fulltime, should be in salary and nothing more.

Nigerian man of God, we should not forget they are human, but the fact that they are men of God should put a geat responsibility on them to take care of many ppl under them. looking at Nigeria today we will see that its the greediness of our leaders/elders that make us to remains in the same place we are today, if not for stupidity why will somebody embezzle wht you can not spend for the rest of your life.thesame thing is happening in churches in naija and Africal in general when the church is growing it will belong to all congregations, they will all put resouces together to see it grows but when it becomes bigger you now see the founder will now pasonalized it he will now become private property to the extend that some churches even build school which some of the memebers children can not attend. ok its private business so to say as it been run, how much is been paid to other workers in the church ?imagine pastor will feed fat while other workers will work for free.
