Yes you can, no need to unlock bootloader.
I just finished updating to 8.2.4 and I also did a factory reset and the issues still persist

,just tried to swap my sim 1 into 2 now, and everything is working fine, but that's with just a SIM, I removed the second , I really don't know what to look for in the hardware tests

Yes sir, can't pick on both when they are not on 3G. The screenshot explains what happens whenever I try to pick or reject a call

Your rom is not official, download the official one and flash via updater app. http://en.miui.com/download-323.html

Its a bug, not hardware related issue, flash the same rom again before we think of a more drastic measure, like wiping before flashing.

Well, I did what you said, I updated to 8.2.4 and did a factory reset and the issue is still there, but I discovered when I put my glo sim alone in sim 1, it works normally, unlike the MTN

On both sim is kinda strange. Reports had it for 1 sim only, sim 2 I think, and more often than not, mtn.
It's a ROM bug actually.
Tho, updating solved all previous of such that I know of.
Try flashing d ROM again.

Yeah, but it's very reflective and not so attractive.

Mine isn't reflective but I feel it reduces the brightness of the screen

He said reflash, not update.

And how old is the mtn sim?

This is getting way more interesting, on critically assessing the situation again, you are very correct sir, my glo sim works in both sim slots without any issue, but I've tried both my MTN Sims in the sim 1 slot and the issue continued with both. Yet to try the MTN Sims in sim 2 slot(because I don't them cut or upgraded into nano Sims yet) , thanks

thanks bro, I will reflash the 8.2.4 now , and the sim is like 4 years old o(the last time I did a sim swap) , the line itself is maybe 5-6 years

All recent Xiaomi phones get global rom except Redmi pro. Nothing do the mtk version, people dey use am here, just ensure say the rom seller flash na official. But e still dey baffle me why you want the mtk instead of the snapdragon, the small almost unnoticeable speed or tweak? U really prefer those to better support?
