All recent Xiaomi phones get global rom except Redmi pro. Nothing do the mtk version, people dey use am here, just ensure say the rom seller flash na official. But e still dey baffle me why you want the mtk instead of the snapdragon, the small almost unnoticeable speed or tweak? U really prefer those to better support?
you have a point here, but you know it's good to have a 'future proof' device, right now Im using a SD805 phone which I'll be selling soon (Motorola Droid Turbo), so going from SD 805 to SD 625 would be a bit of a downgrade right..?

Yes sir, can't pick on both when they are not on 3G. The screenshot explains what happens whenever I try to pick or reject a call

I'm experiencing something similar. But I can't say if mine is connected to being on 3G or not. It just decides not to pick calls at times, and I won't be able to call that number back till I put the phone on Airplane mode a couple of times

thanks bro, I will reflash the 8.2.4 now , and the sim is like 4 years old o(the last time I did a sim swap) , the line itself is maybe 5-6 years

You should consider a sim swap. Get the 4G sim if possible, even if you phone may not support their 4G

This is getting way more interesting, on critically assessing the situation again, you are very correct sir, my glo sim works in both sim slots without any issue, but I've tried both my MTN Sims in the sim 1 slot and the issue continued with both. Yet to try the MTN Sims in sim 2 slot(because I don't them cut or upgraded into nano Sims yet) , thanks
Smiles.
They're not likely to misbehave on d second slot then. If updating ur ROM didn't solve it, then flash d ROM again. It shud solve it.
Swapping ur sim may work too. I think it's d chip mtn used for some cards that's "fighting" d ROM grin
Keep us posted sha. kiss

No device is future proof at this rate. Just buy what you are happy with today, enjoy it and avoid temptations......

In the world of smartphones, when can we classify future?
Is a Samsung Note 3 future proof? A buyer of the Note 3 in 2017, might think so, a present user might think so.
Is a Samsung Note 3 still buttery smooth? Indeed...... You get my drift now?

A note 3 user can use his note comfortably from the 2014 till 2018....of not 2020

A note 3 might still be relevant in 2020. Some apps might not be compatible, but it would still hold it own......
So you see 'future proof' is not applicable in the smartphone world?

Don't let the way Qualcomm make their device scatter your head, the snapdragon 625 can be considered a slight upgrade over the snapdragon 805. Of course it's not a flagship, but the performance is on par plus farrrrrrrr better battery performance on the 625.

wow that's cool, because I may switch to one of the xiaomis soon, though I read about users of the MTK complaining about some issues with their phones..I dey fear because na MTK RN4 dey my mind...

My brother run away from RN4 Mtk. Two of my friends that bought it are still battling with excessive heating and battery drain while those with Snapdragon are enjoying theirs.

Your rom is not official, download the official one and flash via updater app. http://en.miui.com/download-323.html

Which is the official one exactly?

The stable or the developer?

Hmm.. no wonder I've tried updating the phone to 8.10 times without number but it kept reverting back to 0% after it clocks 100%!

By the way,

I have no idea how to flash via updater app... embarassed

I dont even know where to get the said app from sef.
