Hello good people of nairaland.
I'm a batch B stream 1 corp member soon to round off In October/November. When can I start applying for jobs? I'm a graduate of English and literary studies and I have a certificate in HRM and CRM.
I will really appreciate efforts to answer my question and not ridicule me. Thanks in advance.

Start applying, no time to ask when again?

If your interview is in a state/place not too far from where you are, then better. The experience will build your confidence, it may even land you the job.

What happens to the position you applied for you ask? If successful, the position becomes yours. It's as simple as that.

Pls op, I want to know how you got certified as HRM and CRM. what is the full meaning of the acronym, I guess HRM to be Human Reaource Manager.

I took courses and I wrote exams. So I have this after my name (ACIHRM, ACICRM). You can ask around or use Google to find where you can take the course near you. Cheers!

You can start applying now or evening right from the beginning of NYSC. I did that and went for 2 interviews and one apt test even before i finished NYSC.i failed the test anyway and passed two. Finally got the job for the very first one i applied for. i started working there 2 months after NYSC infact the final interview was scheduled just about a week after POP. so i always encourgae people to start applying early sometimes the recruitment process for some companies take time. my advise, let the company know at a particular point you are still serving. it is not a sin to be serving and go for interviews. The second interview i went for i told them i was a corper aand they still sent me a mail for the second stage even after. Like i said recruitment process sometimes take time especially for some big companies. it took over six months for the place i wrk nw to call me for interview after applying. And even if you are not picked cos of that, you will have gathered enough experience about how interviews go. all the best and i'm a lady

I concur with all what the people above have said... Start now. In fact, start preparing for aptitude tests by studying Gmat and SHL type of questions... Also prepare for how to answer interview questions.
Best Case: you get a job before you pass out.
Worst Case: you don't get a job but have enough experience in writing aptitude test and answering interview questions.
