If you're ready I can send it through a transport company near you.

NB: You'll incur the charges (pay the driver)

I've finally solved the "32s and call hanging" problems. All thanks to;

gptech , protein0 , eleojo , jboixxx , grandmufti and everyone I can't mention. Thanks so much

Yeah...you could link it to an unofficial email...the one that you don't use for serious stuff...

Or it could just be for one-time use and then you change your gmail password

smiley why not sync your sms to your mi account and use a web browser to access them when you get a new phone?

Can you restore the SMS later?

And by the way, SMS Backup+ doesn't require your Gmail password.

reflashed my ROM and did factory resets like twice, before updating to 8.2.4 then 8.2.10(I did a factory reset before and after updating) and I think the update solved it

You have to keep trying as it as available yesterday. Another alternative is to keep in touch with your P.O
I just tracked it on the site and it turns out it never left Asaba while I am based in Warri

Gptech:

Of course newer midrangers are better, because of better support, GPU, and a superior manufacturing process in the case of the s625. Its like comparing a Toyota corolla 2016 to a Benz 200.
But you know newer doesn't always mean better, there is an article on androidauthority.com which discusses about this issue, some latest midrange phones match the previous flagships in terms of performance. You are also right in terms of support and manufacturing process, I rest my case cool

Yes, newer is not always better, but for this case it is.

**modified **

Yes, you can restore sms later using mi cloud.

The app was last updated in August 2015 and from the picture you posted, it uses XOAuth which has been disabled by Google since 2015, hence less secure.

https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap/xoauth2-protocol

https://github.com/jberkel/sms-backup-plus/issues/554

To be able to use this app effectively, you'll manually go to your Google account and enable 'access to less secure apps'.

If the apps works well for you, no qualms. Just pointing out that's it's very vulnerable since its old (2015) and uses an old authentication token.

Kindly update the Bolded, it is possible to restore call history and SMS... As long as you enable on mi cloud.

I used it when I upgraded from Redmi 4 pro to Mi 5
