I used herbicides then made ridges directly

well done op. which pre-emergence herbicide did you use? I was thinking that atrazine would have affected your crops 'cos you planted cowpea which is a broadleaf plant.

If you are planning cassava oke-ogun in Oyo state is your best bet

Yes atrazine is not used in cowpea. I used butachlor instead

Thanks for the quick reply. pls how does butachlor work and what's its active ingredient? can it be used as a pre-emergence herbicide on a pepper farm too?
