Lauretta Onochie: It Is Disrespectful To Ask About Buhari's Health Status by ebubefavou: 9:41pm On Aug 07, 2017
President Buhari's media aide, Lauretta Onochie, while on interviewed on Channels TV this evening said it's not right for Nigerians to ask about the health status of the sick Nigerian President, who has been on medical vacation for over two months.

According to her, President Buhari is a private citizen and it is disrespectful for anyone to ask about his health. Here's what she said;

"For the life of me, I have no idea why anybody should disrespect another by asking for the details of their health status. As we speak, we have an acting president. As we speak, President Buhari seems to be like a private citizen at the moment. We have no right and it is very disrespectful for anyone to ask for his health status. In the UK where I came from nobody would release anybody's health record to another, not even the members of their family unless the person decides to approve.

The prerogative to speak on his ailment lies only on President Buhari. If he chooses, it is a choice. It is very disrespectful and very intrusive. We are intruding into his private rights. He has rights too as a citizen of Nigeria. It is not right, not appropriate. ANybody can get sick at any particular time".

Yes

I said yes it's bad for you ask about buhari health ... after all he's handed over to his second in command who's proven to be better than him

he's now a usual retired army man

leave buhari alone

he has taken his presidential ID card, folded it neatly and left it back in the black box of the presidential jet

did he ask about your own health? why are you now insulting yourself by asking about his health?

leave that old man alone

It's disrespectful to ask for his health status Abi? Is it respectful for a president to leave his country for over 90days? If he cannot continue being president, let him resign, you think if this were to be a saner country they wouldn't have impeached him.
President Buhari should please Return or Resign!

Lauretta or whatever you call yourself, I so wish you will peruse nairaland to read this, and all those that think President Buhari;s refusal to honourably tender his resignation and face is health are being very ignorant.
You are blinded by corruption, pettiness and cloaks of emptiness.

Are you not aware of the laws of the land?
Do you think by so saying and doing you wish President Buhari well?
Don't you know the man will recuperate better and faster if he has his health, ONLY as his concerned?
Or just because of your monthly salary and impress the rest of Nigerians should watch as the country stands still.

It is a blatant display of iredeemable weakness to publicly support the lopsided and partial application of the country's law: hard on the poor and common but soft on the rich, high and mighty.

Unless the medical bills and flight tickets are being paid by Buhari himself. He who dips his hands into taxpayers money while chanting anti corruption slogans must come with clean hands and intents.

I think those who voted him in deserve this response. It's four months away to 2018 . So 2019 is already around the corner.

As usual. She knows that if he was allowed to speak, she wouldn't be able to defend Buhari.
Disrespectful. When Buhari himself was shouting that Yar'Adua should step down because of disease, nobody said it was "disrespectful".
All these old, wicked people in power, may thunder settle their matter.

Concerned citizens should buy chains to tame this lady....she is acting as if she's in the wild

For a start, Buhari should return the presidential jet and vacate Abuja house immediately. Those are public properties.

Who brought this woman near the corridors of power?
