Mind you, that super cup final was a competitive game, and on another day Man U could have won. And what normally affect epl teams in European competitions is the schedule of the league matches, mou had to make some sacrifice last season by resting players and it paid off.

The English teams should fare better in the UCL this season, three of the five teams who will be representing England have won it before so the experience is there unlike last season which featured some European weaklings like Arsenal, Leicester and Tottenham for England.
