Accept my sympathy and may God give us d strength to bear d loss of a loved one.

But on d other hand it cud be payback time perharps he may have deliberately or unknowingly also killed someone's brother, son, husband or friend but God knows d best.
I ve witnessed d death of someone brutally beaten by soldiers thereby causing grief to other families as well.

So sometimes in life what goes round certainly comes round.

Why we appreciate d good work of many of them, many ve shown themselves to be monsters

Will you shut up, you brainless bimbo. So your so-called husband is the only man in his village that can last more than a day in the NDA? You must be kidding me. Do you know how many millions of "bloody civilians" that are willing and able to join the armed forces right now, but can't find their way in because they don't have any godfather, or don't know any traditional ruler or Senator and all that rubbish? You must be very mad.

If you ask very well, your husband and most of the cowards in the Nigerian Armed Forces are not qualified to be soldiers in any sane country. But due to the usual nepotism, corruption, and influence peddling that has battered us a people, misfits like them can lobby their way into the armed forces through the back door... Only for buffoons like you to come here and rub it in our faces and form a very vexatious sense of pride and achievement in spite of your nothingness.
Why such venom? Respect the woman and understand her sacrifice.

Nice one....the most annoying thing is that most of the dudes in army got in their because of escape route to poverty and connection...they can't face the real hutsle....

They weren't forced to join....they volunteer. Their attitude can be annoying....their powers are always on civilians....with no gun not with guns

Case study
Boko Haram
Niger Delta militants
Biafra war...

Can somebody tell me a war or operation that was done in Nigeria without any external help from outside....even Niger Delta

I don't respect them

Always frog jumping people....you don't see this in Europe ...

Here they will enter bus they won't pay...claiming staff
..why should they be respected

Driving one way etc
You dey mind them?
Even ti protect the civilians sef they cant. Useless set of people.... to think that the taxes I pay goes into their pockets

I'm a soldier(officer cadet) as well, but I must confess; most of our colleagues are too stupid to know when to act in rugedity and when not to act.

The people bringing this bad blood between us and civilians are the recruits(korofos), the illiterate ones: from you fatigue and the way you sounded, you are one of the fools that ought to be stricken off from our midst.

You and the set of soldiers in this category lack standard education. To them, wearing of camo(army fatigue) is an authentication and authorization to abuse and molest civilians. That is why, civilians hate us. You and your type caused it.

Each time I go on break from school(NDA) here, people, particularly, my town guys use to say that I'm too good and handsome to be a soldier. Whenever they say so, I use to tell them that in NDA we are well programmed and too enlightened to be stupid: though, I don't rule out few bad eggs amongst us. I only act when it is necessary; I don't show off unwarantly.

Let me reiterate my stance once more, I don't show myself anyhow. In fact, while on break, I don't fly our colours, I don't bully people, I don't drink much - only occasionally, I don't womanize - I have only two girlfriends: but very serious with one, though I'm studying the other, I don't keep late nights - for I'm not immuned to attacks. I conduct myself gently.

Civilians, please not all soldiers are arrogant. There are still good and civilized ones like myself and my ilks.

thank you.
Respect. Some of my closest pals and a family member are NDA cadets. Decent Wonderful fellows. I would have loved to join the military...but I'm disillusioned as to what I would be risking my life for. Does Nigeria respect it's heroes?
Will my contribution be the basis for my rewards Or tribalism and religious sentiments? Besides I for one think war is stupid. There are other smart ways to end opposition. Just assassinate it's leader....
It's unfortunate that the good ones are being judged because of the misdeeds of a callous few.
But God shall judge us all.

Let me respond comprehensively.
A soldier siting on the fence of your barracks opposite yabaleft..was asked by a stranger where he could ease himself the soldier responded with stones aimed at his head... Mr. You don't deserve the respect of Nigerians.

You soldiers truncated our democracy and broke down our structure that engendered development from the grassroots replaced it with a unitary system where the grassroots come cap in hand to the centre for alms called allocations... while the grassroots remain in perpetual useless state... You deserve no respect of Nigerians.

You soldiers annuled and jailed the acclaimed winner of the June 12 elections subsequently murdered his wife and ensured his death in dubious circumstances.. you deserve no respect at all.

On your boko haram struggle... If you had not broken down Nigeria into colonies of beggars boko haram insurgency wouldn't have arisen in the first place... Thus you are reaping the fruits of your wickedness and misrule... No respect no sympathy from the majority of Nigerians.

Your soldiers molest and kill innocent civilians nationwide yet you want our respect... No! You deserve none. No respect for you in any form.

Even our taxpayers money allocated to prosecute the Boko haram insurgency was continuously looted dry and you want our respect?!!

you are nothing but an ignorance of what you know, you seems to forget that soldiers follow orders from your so called politicians and other leaders. you now love the politicians more than the soldiers not knowing the real fact or just choose to ignore the fact of 'chain of command', anyway what do you know? absolutely nothing!

use your brain adult I didn't mention that war was fought over democracy or anything. my point here is so clear, these soldiers protect us from outside invaders, think boko haram , think herdsmen, think mend, and we all know when riots get out of hand for our police, we always run to our soldiers. they sacrifice their lives, family, career to serve the nation they deserve our respect! those rigorous training sef is enough to render someone psychologically unstable, the anger and violent is their coping skill. all these guys want is honor and respect from the people they serve. people like you can only speak thundering useless english without adding a pinch of value to another man. all you do is find fault.

Read d link above. What of soldiers who ve killed d loved ones of other families?
U dont need to throw insults but come up wit points to counter their views.
Many civilians are even stronger than some soldiers let come on hand to hand combat leave gun and uniform apart.
I recall chasing a thief with a soldier and i was amazed to see d soldier panting for breath than me a civilian. Funny enough I was d one who caught d theif.
Have you watching the news at all, forget the crape you read on blogs, so who said soldiers are super humans that can't do any wrong but what am saying is, is it that all they do is go to the streets and kill people, harass people beat people, let's be realistic so let's say a man walks past a soldier the next thing the soldier is to start beating the guy. I laugh.
You said BH have chased soldiers, again do you watch the news, so excluding BJ's weapons, you think they can withstand the might of the Nigerian army in hand to hand combats, just as you mentioned that soldiers can't face civilians if not for the gun advantage.
Let me advice you, go do your findings. Stop bringing people down, you say it like they do nothing, what exactly is your problem..

What if ur father was beaten by a little boy who is a little son to him humiliated in public how wud u feel? I am talking frim my experience during my NYSC in d north?

U talked of d training dey go thru madam most civilians can go even further than that afterall what of countries where there is compulsory military service of which I ve lived in some at some point in time.

U talked of what they go through, yes we know and appreciate those effort but that is what they signed up no one forced them to do it.

Afterall every Nigerian who ve other jobs do u know what they go thru as well. Doctors and other health personnel especially in ill equipped hospitals, underpaid, exposed to infections as part of d occupational hazards that's my area so I know much about that, or d pilot who travels long hrs with possibility if crashes, the teacher who gets insulted by parents and students alike. So all jobs have their hazards and ask them what they go thru u wud be amazed.

I ve been to many countries especially in d western world and I was amazed at d professional conduct of d military who are far more trained to fight modern warfare of the 21st century not some bunch of ragtag gangs who are many years behind civilization.

My initial comments on this thread is from years of first hand experience of d military in civilized countries.
The first video ;the man has my sympathy cause he is disabled, but let's assume he is a full bodied man, and walks along the street in Camo, picks a fight, the next thing people will say is soldier is beating civilian, don't wear Camo that's the law.. Simple. If people love the Camo material so much let them go to Zaria Depot or nda, and train to become a soldier.
The professional conducts of other military you see, is the the one you watch in movies.

They don't deserve any of that which you mentioned until they incorporate a total sense of respecting the bloody civilians in their regiment.

You can't sow hate to reap love.. No way!

Everyone respects western military officers because they love their civilian citizens and they won't bully them even at any provocation.

Can you say the same thing about 9ja soldier?

Read d link above. What of soldiers who ve killed d loved ones of other families? Made some families without breadwinners, fathers, sons?
U dont need to throw insults but come up wit points to counter their views.
Also for d fact that u ve a family member in d military should not make u blind to d animalistic traits of many among them
Let me school you: The army isn't meant to fight internal battles but external, the reason why you see them a lot of cause of deployment cause of security reasons, before you don't see soldiers out of their barracks they are always within the barracks, but cause of BH war they had to come out. Since the police couldn't handle it again.
A soldier will NEVER carry his rifle, and start brandishing it, you don't see a soldier on his bike or car carrying ammunition, unless they are on escort, or deployed.(try to pay attention).
So you saying they've killed innocent people is a bit bogus, it does work that way, unless you are referring to other law enforcement agents(get your facts right)

lipsrsealed Soldier boy u compare yourself with soldiers abroad pls be reasonable. The soldiers abroad I know and ve seen dont behave d way u guys behave. The way u guys behave makes me wonder if some of u are animals coated with human skin. Soldiers abroad join queue and dont jump line cos they are in uniform like u guys do. Soldiers abroad dont move on a wrong lane just to beat traffic which u guys do and sometimes cause accident. Soldiers abroad pay their fares and dont expect a free ride. Soldiers abroad dont see police as inferior but see them as part of d civil authority they must be subjected and hence u never see or hear of Army-Police clash. U dont hear of military brutality towards civilians abroad but it is normal here. In a traffic if a civilian mistakenly hits ur car as it cud with anyone, then d soldier wud turn the civilian into punching bag cos na for civilian body una get power. I ve even witnessed a case where the soldier was at fault but was beating d driver whose car he damaged.
So in all respect dont compare yourselves with soldiers abroad.

I did my NYSC in d north and witnessed firsthand so much brutality by d military towards unarmed civilian many of whom were even people old enough to be ur father. Sometimes I ask myself is it d gun and uniform that makes u guys so wild to act that way or d wraps of weed smoked.

During my NYSC, I had rapport with some soldiers and I was shocked with d comments of some soldiers which reflects their attitude towards civilians. The comments are "bloody civilians", una civilians no get sense", "I go waste una", "civilians be animal/chicken".

I feel perharps ur training makes u guys feel that u re superior to civilians but u fail to realize that u all in uniform were born "bloody civilians", ur fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, wives, children, relatives and friends are bloody civilians.

U also fail to realize that if u dont die in active service, u wud retire to be a bloody civilian.
U guys are so arrogant and full of yourselves as if no be blood they flow for una vein. Na for civilian body una get power but when Boko Haram where overruning ur bases u guys were complaining of lack of weapons telling us grammar that it is assymetric warfare bla bla but there is a never a lack of ammunition when u re called upon to manage peaceful protest of unarmed bloody civilians whom u wud use to test your shooting skills.

I also wish to use this medium to tell all our member of armed forces here on this thread and those who may be one someday that if u re called to suppress peaceful protests, use ur head. Dont be a zombie as late Fela call u. Most peaceful protests are means through which d masses speak to senseless leaders cos if they were sensible and sensitive to d needs of d masses it wud not ve degenerated to a protest. Hence dont use ur arms against d people cos those thieves in power wud use to maintain their grip on power and dump u when u retire to d point that even ur meagre pension wud be owed while they embezzle billions.
Dont let d gun or uniform get into ur head. Dont be a zombie cos as Fela call u. And remember what goes round comes round.
Make I clap hands for u. You said it all-and gave them a wonderful advice on how to handle protest.

This lady as an example , wore the Camo head to toe with a head band like Rambo to go with it and she walks past a soldier and you expect him to say nothing.. If she loves it so much, let her enter the army, the military brutality you've shown are people wearing Camo, must they. Is it their school uniform.
