Let me damage your day with a suicidal fact;
Do you know that the Asagba of Asaba was duly represented at the meeting of the Midwesterners to declare a Bendel Republic. This is a fact that could make you slump to a permanent coma. cheesy

The Aniomas have been to fully acknowledge their root & as such would rather be committed to a Bendel republic than a mirage biafra that is no traceable to them. cheesy

I put it to you as an academic assignment to go find out on those who put Delta on the world map long before those peasants like Iweala, emefiele & co came to the limelight... I give you a time period of 24hrs [/s]
Crap you should mention their names, and i will also mention names from the Delta Igbos.

If you don't mention their names, then you are a big dumb Coward.

What do you know about Delta, you are in one of your hut in Oshogbo typing nonsense.

When was Delta state created.

Since the Creation of Delta State, the Delta Igbos have been putting Delta state on the Map.

This Bendel Republic is as laughable as Oduduwa Republic, same as Niger Delta Republic. These so called Republics where some people hold a meeting in a hall and call themselves a new country is so funny because if being independent was that easy , everyone would have been independent by now.

We want to see the extent of support that YOLICOM and BENDEL have. Let them conduct street protest like IPOB and call out their supporters. Let them order sit-at-home lets see who complies

For the umpteenth time, Aniomas in delta are of Benin ancestry. The same way you cannot dispute the fact that the Aniomas in Onitsha are of Edo extraction.

And in your own delusion, you think the Ijaw militants have the temerity to order Yorubas to vacate the Niger delta. You really think Ijaws own Niger delta over & above the other major ethnicities?... Asking that Yoruba leave delta is akin to asking that the itshekiri or Akoko edo vacate the delta... grin ... I dey laugh grin
First of all Aniomas are found in Delta and Edo, no Anioma in Onitsha. Secondly, The Ijaws are a major tribe in Delta State, the Itshekiri is s very minor tribe in Delta state, Besides an Itshekiri person claim to Migrate from Bini Kingdom too. They don't claim Yoruba.

Stop Deceiving yourself, Just read this:

In 1966 the United Nations enacted the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) which, by February 2017, had been endorsed by 169 countries, Nigeria included. It mandates signatory member-nations to respect the civil and political rights of its people of which the right to self-determination is a part. Based on this, referendums are regularly held all over the world – developed, developing and backward nations inclusive. Referendums on varied forms of political questions have been held in more than 60 countries.

Yoruba & other sensible ethnic groups would never stoop low as crude as the Igbos.

Dont make me laugh. Yorubas dont have the backbone to agitate for any sort of cause, be it intellectual or otherwise. The only thing Yorubas have any interest in is making noise about a restructuring which everyone knows the North will never allow and producing the president of Nigeria from time to time with nothing to show of it.

Shut up, Read about the origin of the Itsekiri people:

Myths of origin establish that Ginuwa, the Itsekiri founder and first olu (king), was originally a prince of Benin , so that subsequent kings are descendants of the oba of Benin. Lesser chiefs once met as a council and advised the olu . Chieftaincy is being redefined in conformity with modern government, and some settlements do not participate in chieftaincy at all.

I have stayed with them for a very long time, they don't claim Yoruba, they rather associate themselves more with Bini.

Concerning the Anioma, firstly, how was the Name coined?

Anioma is an acronym derived from the four original local government areas, i.e., (A) for Aniocha, (N) for Ndokwa, (I) for Ika and (O) for Oshimili, M and A being common denominators found in the original four local government areas of Delta State

The Aniomas you see in other states apart from Edo and Delta, migrated to those states.
They can also be found in some areas in Rivers State.

Mr. Okorocha, your hypothesis is very wrong. If anyone was with the illusion that IPOB was deceiving igbos, the sit-at-home had debunked that notion. The unpaid crowd of people that welcome Nnamdi Kanu everywhere in the SE is a further testimony to the acceptance of IPOB and its mission and message.
I don't agree that they beat the drums of war by demanding for referendum although hate speeches usually serve as preludes to genocide and/or war.
What i expect people in your position to do is to mount pressure for referendum which serves as a level playing ground. You are then at liberty to campaign for nay for biafra, simple.

Here's the list of the people in that meeting. Show us Asagba name you looser.

Some professionals from the old Midwest region (now Edo and Delta states) are scheduled to meet in Benin on Wednesday to review the regions position on restructuring.
A statement by the spokesman of the Midwest Movement, renowned playwright, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki on Monday indicated that the professionals across differennt fields who are indigenes of the region would deliberate on the all important issue and come up with the best deal for Midwest.

According to him, as agitation for restructuring gets louder, professionals from the business sector, academic, political class, media, civil society groups and others, who are indigenes of the old Midwest region will converge on Benin City on Wednesday.(tomorrow).

He mentioned some of the delegates at the meeting to include himself, another of the big players in the Nollywood, Richard Mofe Damijo; Senator Domingo Obende; a senior lecturer in the Faculty ofLaw, University of Benin, Professor Edoba Omoregie; former presidential adviser, Professor Echefuna Onyebeadi; Dr. Chris Itsede; an editor with Thisday, Iyobosa Uwugiaren and Mr. Ide Eguabor.

He listed others to include Admiral S. Ogoigbe (rtd); Dr. Godwin Akpobire; Dr. Mo Eyeoyibo; Dr. Loretta Ogboro-Okor; Ebiere Akangbou; Prince Kassim Afegbua; Mena Ajakpovi; Arc. Frank Evbuomwan; Dr. Mogba Eyeoyibo; Dr. SEO Ogbonmwan; Olorogun Theo Mukoro; Engr. Wole Abu and others.

The statement read in part: “We The Midwest Movement call for a restructuring of the Nigerian nation. The objective is to achieve a better deal for the Midwest within the Nigerian commonwealth.

‘’We the Midwest Movement believes that the destiny and future of the territories of the Midwestern Region/Bendel State cannot be attached to any agitation of the Eastern or Western tribes and our neighbours.

Neither can any of the territories of the Midwestern Region/Bendel State be annexed by any such agitator(s). We are a distinct People.

‘’We, the Midwest Movement call for re-federalisation of the Nigerian Nation-State, based on informed understanding of best practices, employing the fiscal allocation provisions of the pre-1966 constitutions as useful templates.’’

The Movement stated that it was not searching for the balkanisation of the country or the declaration of Midwest Republic adding that it will insist on engaging in the federal argument as one region of the regions.

The statement further read: “The Midwest Movement shall examine and properly situate the history of the Midwest Region/Bendel State, and its rightful place in the future of Nigeria.

‘’THE Midwest Movement shall be a constituent assembly/constitutional assembly for the purpose of drafting or adopting a position document that best reflects the aspirations of the Midwest peoples of Edo and Delta states.

‘’We shall set out terms of engagement with: the larger Nigeria federation and/or the Niger-Delta/South-South or as a separate union, this must be tertiary; a last resort.’’

Why is it that Nigerian government is afraid of referendum. Why are they using constitution as an excuse, constitution can be amended in one week. Why using War, war, war as tool and propaganda when referendum is the most peaceful way of solving this kind of political problems. What IPOB is asking for, is for Nigerian government to do the needful conduct referendum in SE/SS what is referendum, asking question do you want Biafra YES or NO, If yes Biafra here we go if no Nnamdi Kanu and his members will go and hide their faces in Ojukwu bunker in Umuahia.
