I have counted in 2 minutes and its actually October 5th and not 6th. Usually, primary bids mature on Thursdays.

Good morning great people. I have been following this group for a couple of days now.

I just started out and have saved a bit over 70k. I don't want it lying lazily in my account.

Please can I invest it in TBills?

If I can't please can someone advise me on the right part to go. Really want to start investing into something not Ponzi though.

Thanks in anticipation for your helpful tips.

You can invest it in mutual fund I.e money market fund, FG bond and FG saving bond....The lowest banks collect for TB is 100k
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by murphyrichy(m): 3:30pm On Aug 17, 2017
greetings House, after reading this post, I summoned courage to purchase T bills today, Two branches of UBA rejected my offer, said they can't accept below 1 million naira. Another branch of the same Bank accepted my offer. I was asked to write a letter that I will be. contacted later. I dunno the interest rate. but heard her said primary market.

Lol.... you are wrong again....you can't get 182 days for 18% with GTBANK..... You can only get 18% and above for 364 days Primary Markets... I'm 100% sure of this....
Even Stanbic and First Bank won't give you 18% for 182days for primary markets bid .....except 364 days...
Secondary Markets can give 18%,but you can't even see 182 days in Secondary market..
Thanks...

Just approach your bank. Ask for the person in charge of TB. Tell him what you want and he /she would tell you what is involved. It's usually very easy
someone told me it is not asy to liquidate tbills before maturity date? That it will be at a loss. But i seem not to understand, i want to gt my facts right before approaching thebank and making my decision.
