The BSS is illegal, because the origin and personell are unknown to government and law enforcement agencies.
Anambra state vigilante services who are even bearing arms are recognized by and supervised by the comissioner of police.

That commissioner needs to be sacked as he is speaking out of his scope of practice and jurisdiction. He needs to face finding those herdsmen that came to his state sometime ago to cause havoc.

The same way your governor can send a bill for setting up "neighborhood watch" to your state house of assembly and it becomes legal for the officials of that organization to operate.

...why don't you advice the police to go to court to challenge BSS as they don't have any legal powers to declare such an illegality the same way you are advising someone here to challenge HISBAH in the Supreme Court? Or is hypocrisy in Nigeria now selective and handsomely extraordinary?
