All this argument is coming because we have avoided the constitutional procedure of doing things in Nigeria especially by the overbearing federal government.

What stop the federal government from conducting referendom in South East and South South part of Nigeria to determine the choice of the people.

Referendom or self determination is recognised in the charter of the united nation but the Nigeria government is pretending not to recognised what it is aware of.

The Federal government of Nigeria congratulated Eritrea, South Sudan, and many other countries for following constitutional practises that is recognised the world over but in Nigeria they twist the law

Nigeria today is operating a miliitary constitution that is illegal and unconstitutional. This constitution was handed down to successive civilian government but since the Northern part of Nigeria is benefiting from this federal government arrangement they forcefully made all Nigerians to adopt to it without the need to correct it.

If the Federal government through the Nigerian police say Nnamdi Kanu "Biafra Security Outfit" is illegal then the federal government should equally stop operating a military constitution. The military constitution illegally put all the powers of government under federal control living nothing for the state and making the state to come begging for stipend from the federal government. If the federal government of Nigeria is practising American styled democracy it must clearly be seen so and not the other way round. Now there is talk by Gen. Dambazau, the minister of interior to set up an american styled National Guard to handle the security interest of the federal government not minding the poor state of our finances given the fall in the price of crude oil in the international market.

If the Federal government have anything against Nnamdi Kanu they should challenge it in court and it is not in the best interest of the Nigeria police to be intimidating the IPOB people.

But first we must stop adopting this military constitution that has failed to devolve powers to the federating units in Nigeria.

OPC has been partnering with FG in a number of safety and security areas in SW. OPC has established itself as the Go-To organization for grassroot safety and security in Yorubaland. The Army uses their help, the Police invite them in for operations, the Maritime security uses them for pipeline security.

OPC has more credibility in Yorubaland than the police or army.
