Good evening my people on romance section. Please mature minds chip in some advice because I am dire need of it.
Barely two weeks i met this beautiful and wife material kind of lady, I already made my intent to enter into courtship relationship with her and she partly agreed citing she has to understudy me and know more about me first; that's no problem because I am doing the same as well.

The thing is, I call her on daily basis via normal phone call; she on daily basis also calls me via video call since we are quite distance apart from each other. My question is are we over doing it- I mean the steady flow of communication on a daily, do you think we should cut down on it, so as to avoid getting tired of each other? Please advice needed. Thanks.

The question is for your girl to answer bro, not us. If she demands communication. Communicate with her exactly how she wants it.

yea she advised we cut down the pace of communication since we are just getting to know each other but I don't know why she wants it that way, I asked her she said it's because we just met. Thanks for your opinion though.

no I don't, just once. But we can video call and even chat for hours at her own expense but lately she suggested we cut down on the pace.

Well, you've to respect her decision tho I see nothing wrong with it.

I'm going to borrow an analogy I read somewhere. Relationships are like two porcupines in an extremely cold environment. As you know, porcupines have spikes all over their bodies and for two porcupines to survive the extreme weather, they have to stay very close to generate heat to keep themselves warm, but not too close so they don't injure each other. Just like the porcupine analogy, partners in a relationship need to draw close to each other to keep the relationship alive, but they should be careful not to get too close and become too familiar with each other, lest they risk killing the spark of their relationship.

Talking on phone is good, but when you talk on the phone all the time, it gets to the point where it becomes redundant and uninteresting. You need the occasional pulling away and giving yourselves space. You need to miss each other from time to time. Believe me, this helps a lot. Remember too much of everything is bad.

And I know this might sound weird and I don't know if any scientific research has been done on it but most women tend to fall more in love with you when you allow them miss you.
