Please chief give the facts you have. I'm already considering agriculture. But I don't wanna travel to the north to buy produce cos of my phobia for that part of the country. I'm even thinking of relocating to Ogun State or somewhere I can practice agriculture for so many peeps are speaking of how lucrative it is now.

please sir, forget livestock farming... it's crop production baby. people have to eat thrice daily whether there's meat fish or egg on it isn't of utmost concern. u eat rice with stew. yam with stew, Eba, amala, etc with tomatoes processed into soup. despite d fact that u even buy roasted maize, etc just to chew
few people don't see these possibilities partly cos of d stain of being a farmer. call urself an AGRICULTURIST!!!

my own thoughts since u don't really wanna do something over-the-top business with high risks.
these two businesses will bring daily/weekly/monthly returns. And u also have to brand them in some amazing ways.

1. Crop production. you don't have to purchase land, u can start by having it on a lease. and the key is to always start small...so much info on this

2. Open a neat and relatively okay cafeteria around a busy place, preferably close to a main road/highway. ur food prices don't have to be xpensiv and u don't have to open with d frame of Chicken Republic on ur mind. get ladies who can cook and offer services with good enough attitudes. u knw d rest I bliv

2m shd b more than enough. and I'll advise that you don't invest more than 1.2-1.5 for a start.

I've also seen people go into palm oil production and u can sell directly to traders around u since u said ur area is filled with many producers of sachet water and bread, ur area shd have enough sellers of food items.

U can go into production of Nylon e.g shopping bag, packing bag for bagging pure water etc.
You can also buy machine that print on sachet water nylon since you said your area is having many Pure water factory. If you don't mind I can partner you I have the machine that print on pure water nylon while you concentrate on packing bag and shopping bag.

I dont want to involve in this as i keep following the post OP i understand what you want and I'm happy your wise enough to decide on what you want even though some people on nairaland are pushy yet you stand firm...If your willing to relocate or if you can relocate to ogun state i will employ you to research on Block industry business it more lucrative over there....its just a suggestion and it seem that the pharmaceutical business will be okay for you please do more research on it I'm suggesting this due to what i read on here.

With half of that money you can successfully start a modernized bakery.
Am a baker, and I know the wherewithal of bread production and marketing business. Since you've got apartment already, all you need get is Gas oven (2bags capacity for a start) milling machine (you need not buy expensive one as well) and then pans and other few basic things.
Cost of making 2bags of flour into breads is around 30k and then after selling the gainings is always btw 14-16k on 2bags depending on the sizes of bread you cut.

Thanks alot boss. In fact for about 2 weeks now I've been cracking my brain with sleepless nights on this subject. Many peeps have pmed me and I've spent money calling and meeting them. So many online jobbers here. Though some have turned out to be very helpful. But most peeps are just interested in selling a book or forcing you to pay for or buy something even when you spell it out to them what you want. Just very few have given me good suggestions and even spent time to guide me through some processes free of charge.

I love agriculture but it seems I can't really optimise it without relocating. Same will apply to the block industry. I just need to make up my mind soon as the "30 billion 4 the akant" don dey waka.
