Capital inflow was $2.67bn in the last full quarter of GEJ's rule: It said, “Capital importation totaled $2.67bn in Nigeria in the opening quarter of 2015, giving the lowest value observed over the last two years of review. http://www.nigeriacommunicationsweek.com.ng/news/nbs-pegs-1q2015-investment-inflow-declines-at-267bn We are now celebrating significantly lower levels of investor inflow than was the case under the previous government. This is nonetheless a much needed improvement than what we have become accustomed to. 3 Likes |

This was caused by the new Forex window for manufacturers and investors. The assurance that they can easily take out their profits has increased foreign investments. The FG is also selling Naira debt in dollars. 1 Like |

NaijaOrNothing:Forget that gist. When the economy improves, the amount of money in circulation in the country will shoot up. You can't tell me there's improvement when firms are cutting down massively on running costs by downsizing staff strength, corporations are owing one another and the govt itself is in growing massive debt. Next story pls |

95%from when to when? I don't believe these lies. If this were to be true it would have a significant impact on the unemployment rate which is still nose diving. |

Not to ridicule the FG or anything but even before this administration we had $20b inflow investment into the country within 2 years so this to me isn't good enough. Meanwhile, why has our government always celebrated foreign investment? Can't government invest all our reserves on local content so we won't even need foreign investment to survive? I think our leaders are not brilliant and innovative enough. America didn't need foreign investment before it became production capital of the world neither did Japan. |

NOC1: You are right. Certainly there is stability in the fx rate that has flowed into prices. Prices may not decelerate because on the converse there is pent up demand which in an inverse way also supports a recovery premise. There are certain middle man jobs that are becoming obsolete as the Internet and lower cost of Internet access collapse inefficient moats - you can expect people in such businesses to complain. But they aren't the future, just our inefficient past. |
