We need to hear the wife's side of the story before judging her. Does he know how far their friendship has been and all that the friend has done for the wife even before he got to know the wife and how he went about the issue whether he was matured in handling it. JUST ASKING!

I think the decision to disengage your relationship or terminate the marriage with your wife is not a good one. However, I think you need to call a brief meeting that would involved your parents and hers hence table the issue once again which she needs to comply or face the consequencies if she is caught having any conversation with the lady.

Your wife cannot afford to be an instrument at that lady's hand to ruin your marriage which she wants to do anyway so she can log in when your marriage crashed. I mean what's her business pocknosing into your marital affair if not for the fact that she has an ulterior move to display your wife because I can sense desperation and frustration on her path.
