There is not nothin like feminism, take it or not. Those who are callin for feminism are ungrateful because of their greediness. They will neva fight to go to war, to do vigilante etc. If they wanted security they would not ask for women like them to be their security and their drivers are men. If they really believe that women are equal to men, all the first ladies should have women as their security or whenever there is fire outbreak only women firefighters should be release to do the job so we can know the truth. 4 Likes |

OrdercityWeb:Feminism is EQUAL RIGHTS FOR MEN AND WOMEN! EQUAL PAY EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES ETC! But broke little dick heads are intimidated that women can do what men can do. Take Linda Ikeji for example. A lot of u boys rain all manner of abuses on her. For what reason?? Her success in a predominantly male sphere is so intimidating to u boys. The average Nigerian man wants a working class chic who is rich still in her twenties and will tolerate all his crap.. where dose that happen?? 1 Like |

OrdercityWeb: I don't do hate tags! Especially when it is misunderstood by people. I believe in fairness and mutual respect. It's only on NL they call me 'feminist'...their definition of feminist, just because my views don't always agree with theirs. I hate subjugation of humans, I guess that makes me a feminist in the eyes of NL males |

Gerrard59: The fact that people ask for fairness (whether based on gender, or race) doesn't mean they're pushing mediocrity. People have biases and where there isn't an active means of maintaining balance people in power tend to favour those who look like them. A man inherently believes a man will do a better job when presented with two candidates (male and female) with exactly the same characteristics. With respect to your opinion on women in coding kindly read the article below. http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2014/10/06/345799830/the-forgotten-female-programmers-who-created-modern-tech https://iq.intel.com/how-female-eniac-programmers-pioneered-the-software-industry/ |

Obalende:You see. This is the hypocrisy from u guys I don't understand. What exactly to you mean by 50/50? Just 50/50 in terms of financial obligations? Dose the woman have as much time as the man to work? Who will raise the kids?? Will the man agree to do 50% of house chores? Take me for example. I'm a lawyer but can't work for now cos I'm pregnant. I'll be out of a job for awhile while I nurse my kid. I have 5 other young children. My husband is the sole breadwinner every dimr that he makes belongs to our family. HE HAS NEVER COMPLAINED! though we are quite comfortable money is not an issue cos he is quite successful, I can't imagine my husband asking me to contribute financial. He brings home the bacon and I cook it! Everyone is happy! I have businesses that I run which bring me a steady income but my husband does not care about my money! He always calls it groundnut money and that I and the children are his responsibility. Why is it that men are no longer like this?? This is how my dad was with my mum. I consider myself very lucky having a husband like my dad. Unlike men who no longer take pride in taking care of their family. Shame! 3 Likes |

OrdercityWeb:For me I like the real sense. I like when a lady can stand for herself without depending on a guy fully, I like when a lady is aware she's responsible for her happiness. I like ladies who know their worth and also know what they want and how to get it. I like ladies whose Yes is Yes and No is No. 2 Likes |

YelloweWest:You are sounding confrontational. When you do that, you end up not passing your message across. Take a cue from pocohantas. .... Now, from all you've said now if men were really against women do you think linda ikeji will get to where she is today? Is Linda Ikeji the only successful woman? @the bolded where did you get that from? Did you carry out any research? You sound like you're talking from experience. ... One last question, how do you practice feminism personally in your life, what are the things you do that shows you're a feminist? Cc:pocohantas you know this sis right? 1 Like |

OrdercityWeb: He doesn't have a point. He as a man, would he employ a male nanny, despite feeling men are better in all spheres? Men are victims sometimes. There are men that are good with roles that have been classified feminine, people don't patronise them well. I remember when male hairdressers came out, no one wanted to use them...with time they showed they were good at it, now they own the biggest beauty shops. This brings us to another point, women shouldn't expect to be handed every just because they have a vagina, that itself is sexist. Create the enabling environment for everyone, then they must work hard for it and whenever they prove themselves capable for the role...they should be given their due honour and not belittle their efforts because they are women. 1 Like 1 Share |

OrdercityWeb:That's just the truth. I have seen few people who claim to be feminist yet never liked the idea of going Dutch during outtin not to talk more of the idea of a lady spending on them, they want guys to take care of their needs, they will be quick to even label guys who doesn't spend on them easily as stingy. When it comes to spending, A man must be a man to them. Lol. 3 Likes |

XKZ: I can understand the biases (same applies to female executives). However, affirmative action does not solve it. As businesses, the aim is to make profit. If a recruiter believes employing a (fe)male will do the job and brings forth profits, so be it. No doubt, females pioneered the industry. However, we have less females opting for Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics degrees, which are the disciplines these firms recruit their technical hands from. Instead of stipulating laws and creating spaces, young lasses should be encouraged to study such courses/disciplines and invariably, firms will have a wider pool to pick/choose from. How come no one demands gender parity in welding, truck-driving, construction jobs? 4 Likes 1 Share |

talk2hb1: Bride price comes from the groom's side Dowry comes from the bride's side The society you live in determines which is required. And even in countries like India where a dowry is expected from the bride there is still gender inequality directed at women. Point is, it is not about the money. Paternity leave – Men don't get pregnant Proposal – Society frowns on women proposing and that's why they probably don't do it (it's part of the inequality that needs to be tackled). But even then some women have done that. |

So far it isn't overdone, they like that damsel in distress, it makes them feel in charge...fact!! Gerrard59: How come no one claims superiority in cleaning, washing, cooking, going to market, being servile to inlaws. Like, 'I am the man...I am superior, I will do all house chores 5days in a week, rest...you're the weaker vessel' |
