Apparently you have no knowledge of Aks. Esit Eket is one of the major oil producing area in Aks. There is an oil company operating there and there's a gas processing plant which was commissioned during GEJ administration.
Thanks bhruv... The thing is Eket produces oil, Ikot Abasi has oil, Mbo (not oron) has oil.. You mentioned just Ekit and onna..

I am sure these pictures are from a youth getting peanuts from politicians to sell his conscience. Never take these pictures serious except you live in Eket or have visited Eket lately. I'm a private enterprise though. What's my business with politics. Do you live in Eket or its environs? We have the following quality products - dish wash, aftershave, bleach, germicide, bar soap, palm oil, and palm kernel oil. We can also assist you in business and academic researches, and design of process plants. Call Odfid Technical Services on 07037263653 ... Ensuring competence.

one of the things I like about d people of Akwa Ibom is dat dey are not complaining dat d governor is not working but only complaining of the choice of projects. they are complaining that he intendeds to build a mini stadium in Eket Nd tomorrow u will want to earn like neymar. I believe d stadium is one of d best gift he can give to dem if d stadium is properly structured

Keep on buying drone to snap the less than 1km, bridge to the market portion of the road since February until udom finishes his 8yrs in office. Was this project not all started during Akpabio's term? Wasnt the eket- ibeno road not started since before his tenure? Udom is only joking.
Thank you my brother,i just weak for their lies.

Don't mind the op. Eket roads remains dilapidated. NDDC just bailed us out a little with a little resurfacing of Etebi, RCC, Afaha Uqua, and Udofa Rds. Unfortunately, the state government is at loggerhead with NDDC boss on his 2019 agenda. In road construction, I rate this regime zero.

The picture he brandished is an approx 1km road taken from different angle. Eket-Ibeno road is however very good courtesy of the state government.

This is good news, but the 'political' angle to this good news is what I don't like. It is unnecessary. Is it the FG that wil come and develop Eket, a LGA in AKS? Is it the FG that developed Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Port Harcourt, etc to their present standards? Is the FG not paying A'Ibom the 13% derivation funding which is meant for the development of the oil communities? Stop the hate speech. The development strides in Eket is commendable but the aspects that contained the sily remarks is bunkum.

Eket is a very conducive place to be. These people were very nice and hospitable during my service year in their land. Despite having influx of corpers regularly being posted to them, they treat everyone of them very nice. I asked one of the landlords why they chose to raise building without provision for fence and burglary proof, i was amazed by his answer. He told me there's no need for that because eket peope are not known for robbery eventhough some of my colleagues at NCCF family house were robbed but the cases of robbery is too rare. Many of my colleagues decided to remain even after completing our service year not because of their ibom babes but because of the love shown to them. They have good roads leading to other cities like ikot abasi, ebeno, nsit ibum, uyo, oron, kudos to the former governor whose infrastructural development was second to none. Though i dont know much about the present governor because we've left by the time he was sworn in but I'm certain he'd deliver just like his predecessor Akpabio.

Afam4eva:
I'm wondering what Akwa Ibom as a state will look like in 10 to 20 years. Even towns like Eket will begin to compete with a lot of state capitals.
My brother afam, Udom is really trying but the problem with my people is that they've been used to money been shared by the governors and politicians, hence you'll hear some of them saying he's not done anything and it's worrisome.
He's developing the state both industrially and infrastructurally which is what we need in this present Nigeria.
Imagine this;

South South and most of South Eastern states never had any standard chicken hatchery until this guy came on board, right now we have a standard chick's hatchery in uruan where people from different states n zones comes in to do business and people are actually working there.

We did mock Nigeria before now for not bin able to produce pencil and toothpick, but right now, the state is producing high quality pencil and toothpick made of bamboo which is the best. I personally do use their toothpick almost always

There is the Metering company situated in onna, my mother's home town, it's up to date and it's a ppp project, u need to see pictures of the place to understand what I mean, I've got the pictures and can send across if you need them. This company is resuming work next month and hundreds of people have bin sent abroad for knowledge acquisition so they could man those equipment, yet people are still criticizing the guy for not doing enough.

Few kilometers away from uyo, there is this syringe company currently bin built and its expected to be larger than the one in South Africa which is assumed to produce about 90 million syringes a year, it's expected to produce about 300 million of such, yet people are still saying he's done nothing.

He ordered for 2000 specially breed cows from Brazil and he's already built a standard range in uruan, this cows will produce dairy which will serve both the state and its environs, yet people are still saying he's not done enough.

My only problem with him is deciding to build a state lodge in Lagos, I'll never agree to that no matter how cute it looks

Udon is working ... I served in Eket in 2013 and I have been resident there ever since. He may not be working at the pace which you expect him to but he is not idle. The state budget was cut by more than half when PMB ascended office. he inherited a backlog of debt ranging into billions of naira from his predecessor Godswill Akpabio and the last time I sat with the commissioner of information Akwa Ibom State he made it clear to me that he (Udom Emmanuel) was working on clearing the debts of executed contracts awarded under Gov. Akpabio which totaled #147,578,840,010.00. I was shocked when I heard this figure and this was for a contract executed and not loans and what have you incurred by the former Gov. Akpabio.

He is neither owing workers, teachers or pensioners as every civil earns their salary before the 27th of every month. This has gone a long in prolonging the longevity of the retirees in the state. The Eket-Ibeno Road which was awarded during Gov. Akpabio first term in office was executed under Gov. Udom Emmanuel's Tenure and a new site is being cleared for possible construction of an ultra modern petroleum refinery in Ibeno Local Government by Iwochang Junction.

The pictures posted here are Attabong road by Uruafiong eto market/Etebi and I want to make good to say that the Governor and his contractors are taking their time to ensure that the road is properly and solidly contructed. You need to visit the site and witness firsthand the thickness and stone base of the construction.

Let's appreciate the little he has done and more is to come both from construction, Industry, Empowerment and Education
