I remember in University, there was this class ‘sociology of prostitution’, it was very enlightening and I was the only one who didn’t raise my hands to condemn prostitutes.

I have over the years realized that as human beings it’s so convenient to condemn things we don’t understand, like I stated clearly in my post on understanding homosexuality. When you look at someone you know is a prostitute, do not immediately cast judgment.

Call my moral compass broken or whatever but personally I do not condemn prostitutes and I don’t think anyone should. Prostitution is usually referred to as the oldest profession in the world, it begun as far back as the times of ancient Greece and it still exists today, in a more sophisticated manner of course.

Whether the world agrees to accept it or not, prostitution is an economic activity and it continues to exist for a long long time because the pursuit of sexual satisfaction will never be obsolete. Institutions exist in the society because they have functions and for prostitution to still be alive and breathing it’s performing a function in the world.

Because its a very old profession does it then make it any RIGHT?! What i see is this humans dont learn from mistakes in their history correcting them to making their present and future better. THEY, INFACT BECOME MORE SOPHISTICATED WHEN REPEATING THE SAME MISTAKES. While prostitution and other immoralities are getting stronger, MARRIAGE AND FAMILY STRUCTURE keep collapsing by the fleeting of time. What an Irony? 'Your moral compass is not broken at all'.
