God bless you. I'm also looking at where the whole money is in that poultry. I'm not trying to hate but I'm discouraged about investing in that if i have to plough in such enormous capital.

My friend started with 400k for broilers and his ROI is mind boggling that I've sworn to join in that biz.

7.5million, mbanu

He can invest 7.5M but bad move for an investor, what of aside funds? A businessman that invests more than 80% of his earnings is a gambler...I hope he has set aside funds for his own sake

This is beautiful but why rent a pen house? Its cheaper, safer and less dangerous to have your own permanent place.

The picture don't depict such investment. I'd rather invest more in crop farming than this

This is totally wrong as a consultant.

You didn't wake up one morning and became a consultant, you had a bit of your own experience before venturing into consultancy.
It is his business and he has decided to invest 7.5M into it and he came here for better exposure and maybe to motivates others. Talking down on his business move may send a form of discouragement to him. Most times it is best to have your own first-hand experience yourself.

When i first ventured into farming on two plots of land, some older men tried managing my funds giving advice here and there. In the end there was no profit, lost the farm and I felt bad towards them.

Now I have my 8 plots of land and doing it my way with happiness and joy. From time to time I seek advice which I believe is why the op brought it here for better advice.

With 7.5M , we can even groom 500,000 birds if properly planned

what some of us failed to understand is that, this man spent some cash on what he shouldn't have spent on. For instance, debeaking, vaccination, etc because he paid those who did all that for him which ordinarily, he ought to have carried out himself if only he has the skills. If he had raised the birds from DOC, I bet, he would have saved more money.

love this idea. keep it up bro but will advise you try and raise them from chick when next you have the opportunity of raising this much quantity. At the said weeks of age I think the egg lay percentage should have improved more than wot you are getting presently. You can contact me to test my layer feed formulation. 08065396978 watsapp only

My late dad did dis Biz n I no so much abt dis, plz n plz, raise d birds from chicks, know its stressful but it pays more on d long run. We saw first egg at 17weeks. People who sell 'ready to lay' ain't honest n don't feed d birds well.

Reason he stopped was DAT people started complaining abt d smell.

bros its a lie. There is possibility that u can not get a complete nutrient needed for the maximum production of the birds.
You don't know what you are saying. So you prefer to buy the ready-made with false nutritional value than the one that you're sure of what is in it

truly stressful but the best. even if he hires workers for the brooding the expenses can't be this much and the egg lay would have been better
NOTE: under good intensive care

Value system, passion and available information are core functions of the decisions we take in life. Rather than saying it's not the best, you don't expect him to start making profit in the first three months of egg laying. Are you aware that these birds will profitably lay for one full year before culling?

You don't talk down on ones business pursuit. Am a consultant farmer with my farm where I have employees, you don't totally condemn the business pursuit of a client rather you offer technical assistance aimed at productivity efficiency.

The chicks will continue to lay eggs for a period of one year ,that's wonderful, my question what's the frequency of eggs per day,per week

Cheers

My Egg farming experience as a new farmer
So I started a poultry farm (Chickens) with the intent of selling eggs. Let me give you a summary of what I have done and how much I have invested till date.

God bless your hustle. This is a noble work that ought to be encouraged by right thinking individuals. I will continue to monitor your post on your progress. Keep the flag flying.

26/08/17 = 18 eggs
27/08/17 = 26 eggs
From the picture, the eggs vary in sizes but we would not be sorting them for now
Due to the current egg market

*We make last collection for the day @ 4.30pm

Wow op, massive is an understatement here. my bro has 51 layers, laying at least 40 eggs per day. wish u success sir

Google assertive bro

I don't talk people down...It's an enviable business...I admire and respect the op..I'm not talking him down never...God forbid..

To put it straight, i mean with 7.5M you can invest and create a very big poultry, this is the true and explicit information i wanted to convey

In fact I see him succeeding..He's doing one key thing right...which most poultry farmers don't do before they close up...not just poultry farmer...He's keeping data....data is key to success in poultry..

advice before u start any business of your choice. go for little training. OP would have learn a lot how wish he went for training. like producing your own feeds. 7.5m for just 3,500 birds. that's too much.

You must be very experienced. Raising from DOC could sometimes be cheaper if you have the skills and most importantly you are sure of the necessary medications administered
