I saw a thread where a lady advocated for allowance for boyfriends, in response, I said a man who collects allowance from a girl is not a real man, and I was attacked by 'men'

Whoever advocated for the said allowance insulted men a great deal. It exhumes a sort of a pitiable-look-like gaze on men as helpless, penniless and beggarly people. Perhaps, what she meant to say was: "Let us pay our gigolos allowances", which is absolutely okay.
