It's either (1)your hard drive crashed (2) your hard drive shifted from its original position or (3)your system needs a hard reset so it can start normally

If one is the case, you will need a new hard Drive

If two is the case, your hard drive needs to be removed and put back in position
If three is the case, remove your battery, unplug your charger and press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
Now plug the charger and switch it.

If all the above didn't solve it, you need to see a technician to help you out.

If you are in Lagos and you can bring it to ikeja computer village, call or whatsapp 08164685979

After upgrading from windows 7 to 8. I noticed that my pc screen flickers and after a week the system stops booting.
Whenever I turn it on; it will power on but the screen won't display and the keyboard will be inactive. Only the light from the power button that helps indicate the system is on and sometimes it powers off after few seconds.
I've tried to reset by pressing down the power button and I have even reseated or reinstalled few memory modules that I could access easily(the hard drive and the RAM modules) I could not get full access to the inner parts of the system because it is hard to unbox so I'm thinking maybe I should take to ikeja.
But I want to know what probably could be wrong with the system. Thanks.

You need to take it to a technician. That is a motherboard problem.

You need to get another Battery for your system. I just hope you have not damaged the charging port/charger with your twisting .

Water poured on my laptop. I cleaned it immediately then plugged it. That was my mistake and now it's refusing to come on. What could have gone bad in the laptop?

OP you're doing a great job.
Pls I just bought a fairly used laptop and the window (10) wasn't yet activated so I took it to one of the engineer I know, to format and install Windows 8 for me, he told me the next day that some drivers are missing in the windows 8 so he had to return it to 10. Just today he called and told me that the hard disk has damaged, just like that. Pls what should I do?

If you really want windows 8 on your laptop, tell the engineer to install it and also install the missing drivers, it is as simple as that.
As for the hard drive, you will need to ask him to explain what he means by damage. If the hard drive has a bad/low health and because of this , it is not able to take an operating system, this means it can still be used as an external hard drive to store files, then what he says is justified as I have experienced hard drives with low health unable to take fresh OS.
But if he means the hard drive is totally bad such that system doesn't recognize it, then he will need to tell you what happened to the hard drive while it was with him.

Oshlander:
Good day Engineers!
I need help with my Samsung mini laptop.
I changed the battery to a new one that I bought at Computer Village December, 2015. It lasts up to 6hrs initially but later reduced to like 4hrs.
Sometimes last year, the charger that came with the laptop had electric spark issue at my wife's office because their generator bridged. I had thought the charger was gone because it was already smelling, surprisingly, it still powered the laptop but I then noticed that the system hangs whenever it is plugged in. But it works well when only on battery.
Along the line, last year I upgraded the OS to Windows 10 from the Windows 7 that came with system.
Presently, the issue is that the battery does not last up to 1hr 30mins and the system goes off at 80% of battery remaining and it takes 1hr 30mins to charge up to 100%.
Also, the booting time which is the main problem now, is 1hr 30mins before I can put password to enter/access the system.
What can I do please?
First , it is wrong to continue to use a burnt charger on your laptop, you are lucky it didn't damage your motherboard.
From your write up, it seems you like managing stuffs and will only take action to fix your laptop when it packs up or refuse to switch on.
When your laptop hangs when charger is plugged and works fine with only battery, it's either your charger is bad (most likely culprit) or the burnt charger you plugged in has affected the motherboard negatively.
So get another charger and test it, if problem of hanging remains, then your motherboard needs checking.
When your laptop goes off when the battery is still 80% , then your battery is bad. Get another.
When your system takes as much as 1hr 30 mins to boot, I will advice you back up your files and install a new OS on it. This means you start afresh.

This what you will do, make sure u get exactly the same battery that comes with the system.. What I mean is that, some of this battery weigh differently and comes with different volte..

Make sure the new one is not heavier than the original one that came with it.

You don't have to buy, just act like you want to buy.

I have bought the 64-bit software and my HP 650 has the requirements to use 64 bit but each time I try to run the software, the system displays that I can't upgrade to 64 bit because I have a 32-bit window 10.
