ME i just believe i would come back here to give my testimony of being selected for the MSc OSS cos i don talk to my God about it.
I actually just wanted the guy to clear the air so that we dont get into confusion again for this house.

In fact by the Special grace of God, i recently just got my Visa for a funded masters program in Canada so no POOING!!!
Its all a testimony of Gods mercy.

But its also a must for me to testify about the PTDF Scholarship too!!!

Its Faith!! I no be Oliver Twist!!!

A friend that got ptdf lss last year was lamenting that ptdf has not paid them since last year that he was the one funding the program.

I was one of the successful applicant this year.
I intend to choose the top schools e.g IPS COE,AUST. But I was afraid when I heard this from a friend because I cannt afford to fund myself in our own public schools talkless of Top Notch schools.

If I can fund myself there is no need for me to apply for Ptdf.

What he told you is very true. I have a friend that got lss last year and up till now he's not received a kobo from them. He's actually the one funding his studies. But hopefully this year they might decide to change the way they handle the lss since they're giving more lss this year.

well they hv paid bro. I don't know about yr frnd but those in my Institute have been given something and their tuition fees paid. It came very late tho.jux bout 2weeks back.

Wow, which institute are you talking about bro? Did they pay for their tuition and get a refund from PTDF or did the institute wait for PTDF to pay the fees?

Anyone know if the list will be out today? We have finally entered September and we still don't know if we can pay for our graduate programs. Is PTDF aware that we are supposed to resume this week in our various programs abroad?

when i said that KH001 is passing wrong info. just wait for the list to come out

September semester is no longer feasible (for OSS) I believe the delay is deliberate so as to push it (scholarship/admissions) till next year. If LSS is out there is no justifiable reason why OSS should not be out considering the fact that it was the same exam written on the same day.
So much politicking going as there is so much interest coming from politicians and ogas within the ptdf. God help us!

The truth is that their graduates have high chances in the industry, world bank partners with them sometimes. Just like IPS and CGRP, they also go for internship after 6months study. But just like there are IPS graduates still looking for jobs after 2 to 3 yrs, the program doesnt guarantee u a job

i will go for cohse, because it is very versatile
Cgrp is only for the petroleum and petrochemical industry, even though the owners are nlng, but the company didnt say they will give graduates from there jobs.
As a safety professional with NEBOSH my brother u can work anywhere

But one can actually get an Msc in CGRP and add nebosh certification to it, and still be a safety professional, while keeping the refining knowledge?

A lot of Canadian Universities provide funding for their research-based Masters program. But to get in, you'll need to have a supervisor interested in your research and willing to provide you funds.This is actually a hard nut to crack as you are in competition with other students from developing and developed countries with excellent academic standing, research publications and so on.

But with a good research proposal, prayer, perseverance, and a strong believe, you'll eventually get one.

You will just need to encourage yourself to keep sending mails to these Professors even when most decline to your request for supervision !!!

ips and OTI are what I know of. Other centers of excellence hv probably gotten theirs too. You present the scholarship letter when going for the interview.

OK lemme kickoff with the institutes. AUST guys don advertise themselves tire so no need. You ve gotten all you need to know. I ll start with mine, which is OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE, UNIPORT. The institute is just 4 yrs plus hence still in its formative years so competition to enter ain't that much cos ppl don't know much bout it like it's brothers. They offer courses that will deepen your knowledge in the offshore oil and gas exploration, production and maintenance of offshore and subsea structures industry. You have three MSC degrees to choose from.
1. Offshore Engineering (obviously)
2. Pipeline Engineering (for both onshore and offshore facilities)
3. Subsea Engineering (the new babies/hotcakes in town) Jux started last 2yrs while the other 2 started since the inception of the institute.
For the first 6months all depts learn together and only learn their function specific courses in the last month thereabout. So you ll have a good background in the three courses even if u hv an MSC in just 1 which you'll be a master of.

Course work is 8months of weekly grueling lectures and exams (like all other Institutes) and 3 months internship(only OTI, cgrp and COE(6MONTHS)) do internship. The institute tries to source internship for you but if you can find by yourself good cos they may not be able to get for all, all the time though they try. Also OPITO Boshiet training is compulsory for all students as its part of your tuition fees. Ermmm I think this is enough. For those looking for gbagaun here. Pls face front o
