They think it's basketball against Mali or football against Cameroon. This is chess, a fairly predictable game, so predictable computers have mastered all the art and dynamics. He won't even see Carlsen's moves coming if he stands at the top of the Empire State building.

There's still even a debate out about who's better between Carlsen and young Kasparov at Carlsen's present age. And na that one some IM elect Nigerian guy wants to win? Not now, not yet.
