I could vividly recall making some predictions last year when the recession was biting hard.
https://www.nairaland.com/3326012/recession-personal-income-planning/1#49036882

Some were sceptical. I just hope lessons were learnt, because for every job cut we experienced, a family of four dependants was affected.

Enough said let's take a look at the key I gave in that post. I hope new millionaires would emerge and be wise enough to invest in Nigeria.

it is like a farming season. A farmer sees his crops growing and budding. The farmer is suffering because he cant harvest anything that period even though his farm is on the right track. That is exactly the situation of Nigeria at the moment. There will come a time for harvesting and all these tears and complaints will be history.

What is the price of a bag of rice at Ochanja or Oshodi markets? cheesy

Why are they bandying figures around when the common man's way of assessing the economic situation depends on how much he buys essential commodities.

This government is the worst ever in the history of Nigeria.
Nigeria is in recession u complain, Nigeria out of recession u also complain. What do u want? Obviously u are one of d Waillers, nothing this government does will ever please u except handing over power to the" ineffectual buffoon " your hero. Lol

Why accept statistics that announced the arrival of a recession but now snigger at the same source that announces the exit?

Two-faced much?

Good.

Though I am not an economist I know that MACROecomics that don't translate into positive MICROeconomics especially food on the table for the average citizens and prosperity for the small and medium scale industries, is just merely expanding government coffers, increasing profits of monopolistic industries and further widening the gap between the rich and the poor.
Re: BREAKING: Nigeria Officially Exits Recession, GDP Grew 0.55 In Q2 by oneeast: 8:15am On Sep 05, 2017
Now answer me, what are the physical indices that shows we are out of recession? Prices of essential commodities rose to the ceiling level, that was the beginning of recession in Nigeria. Now they are telling us that recession is over..the question is, has those prices come down? Has fuel/gas price come down to N87? Has people that lost their jobs been reinstated?

Has the FX returned to where this useless government met it in 2015. Until all these are reversed, you can't come out to say you are out of recession. If you dare me, then go to Oshodi or Ochanja and say this and see if you will not have a broke head and legs.
