Android One was first announced in the year 2014 and was initially rolled out to India. It then expanded into Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, followed by Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Turkey, and Pakistan. As of Tuesday, it's spreading to Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Morocco in Africa.

Pls I wanna ask. After going to 'about phone', I tapped sumtn a couple of times n it now sed now on developer ROM or sumtn like that... Is there a way to go back to global stable ROM?

Your rom hasn't changed. You only enabled a phone setting

It didn't change anything in your phone you don't need to worry but don't go toying with the developer settings as you don't understand it.

You tapped Build number seven times and enabled developer options; it enables you activate USB debugging, force GPU rendering, pointer location on screen and what have you. To put it in simpler words, it's an option for advanced users to test out stuff but regular users still enable it to use USB debugging which is imperative in for flashing and co.
You're not on developer ROM, you're still on Global stable ROM.

Since you used VPN, expect feedback in no time. Mine was approved within 5 minutes range.

Miui 9 is an advantage not a disadvantage, battery even seems better, though if you want to upgrade to miui 9 now, it means you are porting to developer rom (this is also a plus).
To migrate you'll need to update to the latest global rom, and then download the latest developer rom on miui.com and flash manually. You'll need to backup your data to avoid any loss.

You are correct.

Android One launched in Nigeria in August 2015 with the Infinix Hot 2 X510 (1 and 2 GB RAM version) and became the first Android One in Africa.
