Hello house.
I applied for a Tier 2 visa on 14/8/17. The application went through the whole TLS process. I got an email from Sheffield 10 days later that the application had been received.
I decided to make enquiries on the 15th working day(yesterday) and I was told a decision had been made since 01/09/2017 with my application dispatched to the VAC.
I have tracked the application on the TLS' website but the latest update is 'Application received'.
Is there a way to contact TLS about my application?
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks.

I did mine 16/8/17, same process UKVI. Although i have not made any enquires yet. Were you able to contact TLS?. Did you sign up with TLS on their website?.

Finally after 3months decision has been made. And to say the least, i tried using the UKVI site to check the status of application and the page is still saying reference number not recognised. Thanks to everyone for their contributions. For the waiters you will surely get yours.

That's good to hear. when did you apply?

For visa fees, it depends on what type of visa you seek. See below the cost of a 6 months visa for a standard visa service, priority or super priority. There is no processing fee at Ikeja submission centre, there is at VI however...

Hello I need your advice. I applied for a visiting visa on the 25th of August and it has been receieved for review by an ECO. Just found out this evening that I was awarded the ptdf scholarship. My dilemma is what do I do now? Would I have to withdraw my current ongoing application and re-apply for a student visa?

Please how long would it take for me to get back my passport if I have to withdraw my application?

Thanks.

Yes, you will need to apply for a student visa.
Whether to withdraw your current application or wait for it to be decided depends on you and how soon you need to resume school. Read back a bit to get an idea of the recent timelines for processing UK visas.
Keep in mind that applying for the student's visa will also take some time and has it's own requirements. (If you are a frequent visitor to UK, your application may be decided faster, if you are a first time applicant, expect them to exhaust the 15 working days stipulated and perhaps more: they will be notifying you as they proceed).

For withdrawing your application, it may take up to 10 days (read back, I can't remember exactly what I read earlier). It could also be much faster if you are a frequent UK visitor and your visa application is being processed in the BDHC or BHC in Lagos or Abuja.

Regarding withdrawal of application. I called UKVI on the 23rd of August to withdraw my application and I was told it could take up to 15 working days, I went to TLS office on the 25th to fill the withdrawal form there and TLS told me it would take 3 working days and it actually did. I got my passport 3 working days after submitting the form at TLS.

Hello House,

This is a note of appreciation to everyone on this platform who at one time or the other gave their advise or words of encouragement. Submitted at VAC on the 27th of July with mum and sister; who got their visa 3 wks after application.
At 5:20pm yesterday received the mail that my passport was ready.
I jet to Ikeja at 10am, with palpitations. I could not open the package till I got back to work. At work, I entered the toilet and locked myself inside, where I struggled to throw open the bag. After so much hassle, the bag was open, I saw my passport, checked into the bag for any other thing, I didnt see any thing. I opened my passport, flip through the pages, and saw nothing, I started sweating. Meanwhile my sister told me if they refuse me that I will get a white paper letter. I CHECKED THE FLOOR TO SEE IF THE PAPER PERHAPS DROPPED WHILE i WAS TEARING THE BAG, NOTHING O. Ha, My hands were already shaking, I then shook my passport, flipped the pages again, one small paper just dropped from it. I was like ha, after everything, refusal noni, I hissed, braced myself up to read the reason for refusal. But to my surprse, the paper read IMPORTANT NOTICE! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE INFORMATION ON YOUR VISA BEFORE....... Na so I jump o, I THEN calmly opened my passport and saw, the stamp o, with my pix taken at the VAC. 180 DAYS, C-VISIT, MULTI..BLABLA...

My people, I thank urna wellwell. You guys actually help me thru the ordeal. I lamented a lot during the wait cos I am not a patient person, and I read where some are still waiting 3 months for their visa. I cant imagine waiting that long, I might just faint.
But this UKVI people are good people ooo, their head is correct, I look forward to do more biz with them in the future (Did I just change my mouth..lol)

In between, guys how do I get a really cheap airline, for less than 250k to London.

Hello, let me just give you some info you might frown at. There are delays everywhere on whatever kind of visa applied for. It can be fast, it can be slow; it can be very slow even. A friend of mine whose wife applied for spouse visa waited for over two months AND THEY PAID FOR PRIORITY. YES, THEY DID. The biometrics was on May 2 and visa was granted in July ending. It was for his wife and their months old baby, paid priority for £500+ for each of them on top of the visa fees....
