So Buhari placed a call to the Auditor general's office and asked him to release the report of the audit he conducted on the women affairs ministry? Sounds too incredible. A more reasonable explanation would be that Alhassan was confronted with the audit report. She begged for soft landing but was rebuffed. She then decided to turn herself overnight into an enemy of Buhari by introducing political coloration and the 2019 elections. A minister cannot openly come out and say something as gravious as what that woman said except she's acting a script. That script is the audit report that indicted her for corruption. No soft landing for her.
