It was moment of realization for me, that true happiness lies with me irrespective of the situation. So I decided to be useful to myself...

1) I resigned my job, and picked up a new one
2) learned to play the guitar
3) learned to speak two foreign language
4) Started programming , now I code in java, python, develop andriod application and design web pages.
5) I started paying more attention to my family and friend than work.
6) Stick to one girl (not being easy)..
7) learn to play lawn tennis, swim, mountain climbing and participated in chess tournaments
More volunteering, co founded a social enterprise while still working my career path- got three international recognized awards for community service (no need to mention)
9) Transform from slim to build , weekend gyms, morning workouts, joggings and fitness groups
10) Stopped going to church, spent more religious time wandering alone in the beach or camping .
11) Stop gambling, especially bet9ja, wasn't easy so I starred by reducing bet amount by 90% then reduced it to one a week and then stopped.

For ten years now, i read atleast 6 hours everyday...I'm a walking library, i'll stat writing my own publications/books/articles soon....

they say why do bad things happen to good people, that's me. i made a lot of good decision in my life but they'd never affected me positively. I struggle too much in life and am yet to see results. Right now, I give up and let nature takes its cause on my life.

This is nice.. Something I think I should start doing. Even of its 2 hours or 3.

Thanks to my studies, i have different stuffs under my mattress from engineering to medicals to macro economics, just keep reading....the advantages are limitless...

Work stuff and all that. U wake early and come back evening atimes night.
That's not an excuse though. It's something I'm starting soon.

Yes, compartmentalize.. Get a phone read in buses..to and fro, get small books, you can make a to-do-list. i.e. one book per week..

I started this last week, one hardcover book each week, 4 books monthly, 53 books yearly

not studying HARD in my final year in the University is the best decision......

That's nice. I read stuff on fone too once a while. Will starting reading books again. Fone can be a distraction trust me.

Hey guys,
A few days ago i was reading a thread on Quora on this particular question and i thought to myself what decisions have i actually taken that i can say helped me to this point.
Well so here are some i could think of, kindly share yours in the comments. This would help others learn from you incase they want similar result as you have. Let's do it this way; write the decision and in brackets write how it has affected your life positively
This could also inspire somebody to do something positive with his or her life.
So here goes:
- I deactivated FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM, i basically limited my involvement on social media. (This has helped me to do more productive things with my time, i started visiting more informative sections on NAIRALAND and frequent Quora)

-Cultivated a reading culture( Thanks to my last point i have more time available to myself, so i devote myself to reading novels, researching. This has drastically improved my vocab and knowledge base. There is something reading does to the mind)

-Improved my cooking skills ( Rather than use my data for social media, i downloaded apps and researched how to cook different local meals)

-I stopped chasing girls (This should be one of the best decisions I've taken, young guys I'll advice you to do same. This girls you're chasing when you leave them and CHASE YOUR DREAMS they'll be the ones to chase you)

-Took online courses (There is a saying that "the valley between you and your success is ignorance" )

-Developed a habit of self-development (I read anything that can improve me)

-Started online businesses (Thanks to my self-development habit, i run various online businesses, without being taught by anyone. I earn 6-digits income)

- I decided not to be limited by setbacks (so i have had a few setback. Everyone does lol. Life isn't fair right? Anyway when i look at where i was a year ago and where i am now i can say there's been alot of progress)
