Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has given reasons why he is not in support of the agitation for Biafra.
The Abia state governor said the population of Igbos living outside of their states are over 11 million and as such, activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) put the lives of south-easterners at risk.
Ikpeazu said this in Abuja on Tuesday, September 19, the Cable reports.

While highlighting the spread of people from southeast, the governor noted that there are Igbo people even in Sambisa forest, a stronghold of the Boko Haram sect in Borno state.

He said: “I want to announce that the population of Igbo outside the Igbo enclave is about 11.6 million; you don’t play with the lives of 11.6 million people.”

“We all have to be careful, the press, the leadership at the state level and at the federal level, everybody. We are still working on stabilising and sustaining the fragile peace that we enjoy now.

“I swore with the Bible to protect lives and property; because I take such oath very seriously, I will continue to protect the lives and property of our brothers and sisters irrespective of where they come from.

“I do not see how, as an Igbo man, boxing myself into a smaller geographic entity will help the cause of the most widely travelled people in Nigeria.

“There are Igbo in Sambisa (forest); what are you expecting of them if I narrow their geography of coverage.

“But agitation, marginalisation and infrastructure deficiencies, these are issues which are germane and they can be discussed, spoken about and addressed.”

Of course, even in he'll fire you will see igbo man selling a.c. I love and respect the enterprising spirit, even though the love for wealth has eroded values and honesty among a lot of youths! Business needs people and common bridges that define us and not bridges that destroys us, unfortunately what we gained in business and enterprising skills was lost in leadership and political acumen,'if.not how can it be explained that millions saw NK as their supreme leader, a daft and overtly passionate man without strategic reasoning,.It still beats my imagination how my people could.not see through this gimmick

The only place you can't find an Igbo man is in hell. But illiterate Nnamdi Kanu wants to sacrifice everyone and everything to have Biafra. Let him first kill his family and I will take him more serious than anyone.

I must commend okezie ikpeazu for maintaining peace and averting bloodshed ,his boldness and insistence on the soldiers leaving abia state helped douse heightened tension .

there was no way Igbo's would have watched the soldiers intimidate them with guns without retaliating thereby causing tribal war in Nigeria.

Igbo's are peace loving people and will not carry guns or weapons in the guise of agitations as we are being provoked to but surely will defend ourselves in the face of unjust intimidations and attack.

God bless okezie Ikpeazu
God bless Nnamdi Kanu
God bless Ndigbo

Dear Governor Ikpeazu,
It seems you and your deputy get excess energy for plenty meaningless talks

You and your deputy should channel the excess energy into constructing the dilapidated roads in your state embarassed

Your house is on fire and you are here chasing rats

While you're busy bursting grammar for and agitating for Biafra see what's happening in the north:

#10 billion Africa largest rice mill opened few weeks ago in Kebbi.
#30 billion Africa largest feeds mill opened today in kaduna
Dangote 250,000 metric tons rice mill set to take off in Kano .
Biggest poultry farm opened in Olam Kaduna state

The Northerns are busy Positioning intelligently for an economy without crude oil, After na them go even beg una to restructure Nigeria if una want. By then Oil go soon reign pass.....The World is busy inventing technology that can do without oil.......obviously oil is daily depreciating in International market....

Instead of South Eastern leaders to rise up and start building their region economy, they're busy shouting Biafra this, marginalization that......

Lesson for South eastern leaders.

Self sufficiency guaranties future security both in food, raw material, unemployment and altimately protects the economical growth of your nation. For sure, OIL IS GOING... BRACE FOR A (BACK-UP-PLAN).

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!
