1. The heart rests in between each heart beat and it also stops for a moment when we are shocked.
2. You can decide to close your eyes . The eyes also rests when we are asleep
3. You can also decide to hold your breath for a second


And,

The brain does not rest because it controls all this activities......even during sleep it is responsible for our dreams

It's the brain, the brain sends signals for all body cordination, it even tells the heart to beat. Your heart rests, it stops completely for a second when you sneeze{ Thats why people say bless you}

boss .....d heart can generate impulses itself to make it beat.....wen there is no brain....no problem

the heart impulses signals are sent by the brain, if the brain shuts down it's over, every body function will be dead.
