forgiveness:

Anyone who don't feel Nigerian after been approached should be left alone. grin

The issue is not approach but creation of a continous relationship with potential players prior to being approached.

The family background and structure of some of our players requires a strategic approach over the long term.

Now if I was given the official credence to make a strategic approach to Nigerian origin players recruitment to the SE. It would not be problematic in the first instance there would be a POSITIVE LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP well in place, such they would be declaring for Nigeria without overtures.

Unfortunately I am not and I am not interested in any form of Egunje or payback whatsoever.

There was nothing he could have done to save those kicks (2 for that matter). But in all we can still draw positives from the game though it's difficult to beat the host in any final but still it was a nice game.
Our defenders gave needless tackles that resulted into spot kicks

With more work and better coaching Nigeria can win CHAN. The players are there and it is just about honesty in selection and actual tactical prowess.

Quite needless

3 of the goals aren't his own doing as even the best of goalkeepers could have still conceded the first and the 2 pks. Ezenwa did his best but even with this performance today I'd still prefer him over Akpeyi

Good game so far from Nigeria. I have been enjoying their ball movement. The only drawback is their supply in the final third. I saw the goal coming, the pressure was getting too much that at a point it turned into a rugby contest.

Abeg make they score so that their body go calm down and our boiz fit see ball play.

well yes, resident doctors in private hospitals do not earn up to that sometimes, it is impossible to see a resident doctor in a private hospital earning up to 200k, 180 is usually the benchmark. Even in govt hospitals, resident doctors earn 250k upwards, do you think we like going on strike? But we must.

I see why people take the insult of doing PLAB in the UK to practice in the UK many doctors working locum will make at least £500 a day.

Depending on specialism it's possible depending on contract to get £100+ an hour.

Yes, he was exposed to by his defenders and got his golden balloon deflated cry. I really feel for him.

We should draw both positives and negatives fr every matches. Build on the positives , work harder to correct the negatives.
Good outing anyway..

500£ a day is likely for specialists especially the surgeons.

Hard to get into a training program in UK for non citizens though areas like family medicine and acute medicine are relatively easier.

Sorry for the digression

I have read some comments so far and i must say,we forgot many things during the match. Only their 1st goal was legit. The freekick that led to the penalty 4 the 2nd goal is pure rubbish. Their 3rd goal is not anywhere near a penalty and their 4th goal should not have stood because Ezenwa already have the ball. Kudos to the eagles, they tried wella and pls somebody should tell Salisu not to dare bring that gabreal to CHAN o. #soareagles

This thread is a big joke now honestly.... A thread where idiots are allowed to get away with Insulting someone's mother? A thread where any one can just walk in and attack anyone and when the one being attacked shows how good he is with word jabs, they all take to supporting the one who attacked first.

Like seriously.... I now question the kind of people we have in here. People who will see Rubbish and keep quiet about it but when I begin lashing the negatives and being tough about it... They begin to talk to me.... how classic. It has been nice being on this thread... but I don't roll with hypocrites... I am not here for anyone... I am here for Nigerian Football and its return to Glory days. Time for a move on... Too much familiarity breeds contempt.

But when my mother is brought in and insulted and no one stands up to speak vehemently against that... then it is time to say goodbye. I am progressing well and flying high in my Hopkins research scholarships and other studies partly because of her. You don't insult someone's mother of goodwill and think your life will be okay. Can't believe how people reason on here...

P.S: I named this thread. The elders and people who were here from the beginning know that and they understand my passion buy maybe even they have forgotten. Goodbye and plss don't bother quoting....it is the last you see of me. wink
you are disappointed in what? Is this the first time you are seeing this scenario being played out on this thread? Has it not happened to me countless times? Why the f-uck are you being a baby about it?

Is it because they dragged your mother into it? Did I not call Piet out for that? Did I not even quote Chris to say you were right about someone supporting the attacks of your mother? And you said you don't give a hoot, na me you talk that one to. Me wey don dey support you for this thread both in reasonable and unreasonable arguments, I talked to you and you threw my opinion in the trash.

Supernerd, shut up! If it's sympathy you are looking for or you are waiting for someone to tell you sorry, it will not happen. You have lost all rights to an apology with this trash you wrote and by your actions.

I am the most disappointed in you and I don't care if you give a hoot or not, but I want you to know that I am ashamed of your behavior and I hope you think on it and change your ways. For me to be telling you that, you can imagine how low you have gone.

Nobody will give a shiiit about your John Hopkins degree or educational qualifications if you can't even see past your nose. You no do well at all, and if nobody else has it in them to tell you, I will not mince words

I am not surprised by the way Ghana whooped this spineless home based eagles like little kids. I said it here after the first game with Siera Leone that this team is very poor. Salisu is a crappy coach and he chosed a confused Rabiu Ali to anchor our midfield.

Friday John shouldn't have worn the super eagles jersey...Dude has nothing to offer.

Okpotu is a typical physical Nigerian league player. Youth football development is our only hope. Most of these league players started playing from the street and never learn the rudiments of the game. Few can't trap a ball under tension and have no technique. Look at the Benin republic,Siera Leone and Ghana and you can see the quality in their play and individual skills.

I have nothing against northerners because they are really cool but I am yet to see a northerner that can man a midfield satisfactorily....Maybe on the wings but definitely not in the middle. Playing in the middle requires some special characteristics that are not common in a northern footballer. I could be wrong but I am basing this view on sheer observation.

Gabriel is a very sleek attacking player with loads of skills. Salisu is a horrible coach and should not have coached this team.

Anyways , most of these guys are already in their late 30s. They don't have much to offer....I am not losing sleep over them.

Things like this keep repeating and repeating itself.

You don't judge a team from their last group game especially if they have already secured top spot in addition to qualifying.

Anyways we learn everyday.

These home based are simply suffering the same mentality we have in our local league. They resorted to gragra football after 3-0.

I thought the Ghana red card would change the game knowing how well they pressure, only to see 4-0.

Ezenwa GATS work on his dive timing during pks. those kicks were tap ins. and why does he always dive out. He is good no doubt. but its annoying he caused the last Ghana goal. The 2nd pk was uncalled for. Salisu's sideline face was annoying me.

This is what i do not understand.. Why are we packing old men to a tournament of this nature? Wafu cup is a small tournament.. Why not use it as an avenue to expose younger players? Rabiu Ali is almost 40. Many of these guys have no national team future.

Very apt. But ,this is still Nigeria with our warped mindset in everything we do. They have a seniority thing going on with the home based eagles and this extends all the way to the clubsides. The oldest players get to be invited because they have been in the league longest ,so,therefore, must be considered firstly. I am surprised Ibenegbu and co wasn't invited this time...Nigeria is a very sick place!

Gabriel is average at best and should not have been invited talk less of subbed on in the finals. The league is packed with top talent and we just need a top coach to harness it. If you ask me either Rohr coaches us at CHAN or we should hire a better coach.
