Please learned NLanders, How can someone who school in Nigeria get his/her transcript sent to a foreign university for masters? A friend of mine is currently facing some problems getting his transcript from EBSU. HOw can he go about that?

He should go to the school, apply for the transcript with his details(reg no, dept, session). Pay a token fee which is compulsory. And bring it to the administration block for it to be converted to receipt and then go to the person in charge of the dept.

I had to do mine "manually". I went to my former school ,paid the fee, gave the woman in charge 2k for " express " or "sharp-sharp" delivery. Got mine in less than 4days.

Hopefully u should try it manually just like I did. Saves you money and time, if your school is nearby though.

UNIBEN now makes use of an online service provider. I believe most universities in Nigeria have also signed up to the service.

It's not the same everywhere. In my own University(CU) all you need do is send them an email and they would send it themselves.

It depends on the school some schools are going online now. Futmx is online now. I think we should start a Media Curusade to make all transcripts in Nigeria Electronic. Our Universities have done a lot of harm to people's destinies through this transcript issue.

Very simple my guy, just go ur school apply for ur transcript. Make sure u fast track it by committing the person in charge. After a week or two it will be ready. Then u will choose which parcel service is preferable to u, DHL is the best anyway

I believe ur school shld have a means of sending transcript. In ABU the send it directly to the address u give them both local and international with diff charges. It won't be diff with ur school.

In Unilag, you apply on the school website, pay through Remita. But the charges varies based on the continent (international schools). You will be notified through your email.

For UNIUYO, you can apply through their website directly or in person. In both cases, you pay for the transcript and the mailing (roughly 10k).

For DELSU, you process it through the exams and records office. After paying a token at the bank, you convert the teller to receipt and use the receipt to apply for the transcript. You can pay for swift delivery as well. You'll get it in less than a week, all things equal.

Transcript is not a problem bro. Go to your school and pay the required amount into your school account and your transcript will be wired to its destination. You can even get the hard copy yourself. Na naija we dey. I did it for a friend. Just paid the normal 5k into the school account and blessed the man in charge with small amount and fiaaaa!! The transcript was in my palms

it's just simple, that's how I did mine. I also hv a copy for my personal use.

I used ETX, and got my transcript in less than a week. I not holding brief for them but I didn't have any issues.
Maybe OAU is very cooperative with them.
Their cost is high sha.

When u said the process is computerised, i assumed you only used the UNN itranscript portal. by the way pls like how much is the small cash? i am currently trying to get my transcript verification sent to WES, it ought to take no more than 5days according to the portal but i am well into the 3rd week already. Thinking of sending someone in school to do the "walka".

Please help clarify this, is transcript a one time thing? I got a hardcopy of mine back in 2014 and i still have it with me. Can i still make use of it or i will have to request for another one?

it depends on the University. In UNN you don't need to go the school. Apply through their portal and pay using Remita, then choose a courier of your choice(DHL, FEDEX, EMS). It will reach 7days to 3weeks. N15000 for local destination, N35000 for foreign destination. they have online customer service that chats with you incase you have challenges and also a functional phone number. very simple and stress free

Yes it is a long time thing. Is even better you have a hard copy because anytime you need it, you scan to whoever need. Hard copy is better than soft copy because you keep running back to the school for transcript when they send it to your school direct

Go in person, pay some fees from dept to dept or offices you need to go to sort results.
Nobody does anything for free.
It could take days if you can pay your through quickly.

Abuja is about 5-6k,
Abroad should be with 10-20k depending on d location (not sure).

lol I paid 2k for my gown then. Anyway nothing is impossible in Nigeria with money, that's the only language my people understand Would apply for mine this November and would do anything to fast track it.

I spent more than 30k, those people chop me. They took advantage of me when they discover i stay outside Nigeria. U can send someone to do the 'walka' for u if u stay far.

Very true! am presently on the issue, and my contact person has requested for all receipts mentioned including school fees paid throughout the session. Hmm, peradventure you're unable to provide them, you will be required to pay a huge sum.
Its really beats my imagination.

so sorry to hear. Nigeria is intertwined with corruption. But if the 30+ you spent was full charge for the transcript, courier and walka, then it may not be as bad as you think. The official cost for transcript addressed outside nigeria is 35k, at least since they started processing it via the portal.
