Hi all,

I'm hoping to step into the IT world in a couple of weeks. At the moment, I'm confused about which holds the most potential between Programming and Networking (I specifically chose these two because I have little experience with both).

So, Techies, your expert opinion, please. Which of the two is more rewarding (economically and personally) in Nigeria?

Hard to pick one over the other globally. I think networking is more sellable in Nigeria as most SMEs can easily relate with networking people.

The two are great depending on where your desires and passion lie, they both are rewarding but still, it needs or requests more time, dedication. Networking is great and it rewards quickly here in Nigeria with cool salary packages even with CompTIA+ before CCENT, CCNA and CCNP but the programming aspect is developing and depending on your firm and level, pay varies. Networking must require you come to the office anytime if there is an issue and can be easily resolved except it's something really serious and delay you know can't be entertained but programming doesn't play out like that as it would require longer time and more troubleshooting to nail the issue exactly. Still, they both are great but programming still remains largely untapped in Nigeria unlike networking, choose where your passion lies. #TheCEO.

Well, Programming just like the person above me said is still like a baby in Nigeria and Networking is actually a step ahead. Moreover as a network engineer, i know that networking is a bit more easier to learn than programming. If you are in Lagos, you can PM me so that we can can talk.

Meanwhile: Enjoy a 50% Discount on any of our ICT courses this September. Offer lasts till 30th of September
