E Fam,
I greet you all.
I'm so happy I can't just contain it. Waking up to a mail from VETASSESS almost gives one a high BP as one is not sure of VETASSESS and their ways. However, lo and behold, it was POSITIVE.
Assessment lodged 11th August...
Positive outcome 26th September...that's about 6weeks and some days.
No Assessment officer contact, no request for additional or supporting documents...rather I was the one calling and mailing my assessment officer. It can only be God. To Jehovah belong all the glory and the honor and the power. The journey has just began. The hustle is real!! Special thanks to the Ochendo Gburugburu of this thread - Sir Chief Bellong for starting such a life changing thread as this with wonderful people and information.
Hordunayodt- a special brother from another mother. He gave me the strong heart needed.
Mamajaz- Mama like no other, I respect you Ma.
Teewhysafe- Wonderful couple, Jah bless your family.
Phlunteer- Kudos Mama, we'll meet in Aussie soon
SegunWamiri--- You're blessed brother, as you also embark on this thrilling journey.
Hosflex---May Jehovah bless you Sir.
Funbi---my partner in...Positive assessment also falls on you too soon.
And to my adopted uncle Jide, your ways are perfected already Sir.
I can't just recall everyone's name...please pardon. We're all great on this forum. Please accept my warm love and best wishes everyone.

All I did was to value the property in my name and that was all.

Congrats Jelmusboy.

Please regarding the valuation you did for POF, did you have to show proof of ownership for the property?

SkillSelect results for the 20 September round have been released. For most occupations, the required score continues to decline. The required score for Accountants to receive an invitation has increased to 85 points.

For non-pro rata occupations, the required score for a Skilled Independent Subclass 189 invitation remains at 65 points. However, waiting times with this score are now down to 1 week, so we expect the required score to drop to 60 points in the next invitation round.

Most pro rata occupations remain stable, but the occupation of Accountant required 85 points in the last round, up from 75 points. The same number of invitations was issued in the 20 September round (239), so this result is very difficult to understand. We are currently seeking clarification from the Department of Immigration as it appears that there may be an error with the SkillSelect system.

NSW has released the long-awaited Priority Skilled Occupations List. So far this program year, NSW has not granted many 190 Nominations and we expect that NSW will resume the invitation and processing of Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 nominations in the coming weeks.

Congratulations Koleefem05.

@Majiouk,

What are you intending to ship? You can ship a lot of foodstuffs provided they are dried.

@Jelmusboy, PCC are usually addressed to specific country. I am not sure if you can use a PCC addressed to the UK for another country.

Good morning everyone.
Please am about to launch my assessment with EA in Civil Engineering, is there anybody who has done so lately that can provide guidance or assistance in the process? It will be greatly appreciated if somebody volunteers, I don't want to miss steps or make mistakes which may result in failure.

Thanks.

I want you to please help make clarifications on this.
My first degree is electronic/Electrical engr (Telecoms option)
By nov this year it will make 5 years that I have been working in a Telecommunication company and I wrote my CDR, the three CES based on what I do @work and I nominated Telecom network engr.
Now my problem is that my employment letter does not carry the name of the Telecom coy because all staff were recruited like that and seconded to the firm.My pay slip carries the Telecom comapany name,My ID card and on my cv I have the Telecom companies name as employer's name.
So how do I solve the issue of reference letter in this case?
Thank you

I was asked when I did mine, in fact, that was what delayed mine. I think it all boils down to the person doing your assessment.

I have seen all manner of CDRs and many positive outcomes. It may interest you to know that Bachelor degree in Science e.g Geology and then a Master degree in Petroleum Engineering with a well written CDR would get "Professional Engineer" assessment outcome. I have seen that. Also, a BSc Industrial Chemistry, two MSc degrees (Environmental and Chemical Engineering) and a well written CDR. Likewise, I know of BSc Food Technology degree and MSc Food Technology degree with a Positive assessment as 'Engineering Technologist'. Surprising too, I have seen a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Engineering and a MSc degree in Environmental Engineering plus a CDR

Chief I have similar degree, I don't have M.Sc though. In your experience, can you say having M.Sc in those cases was an added advantage for folks without the core engineering degrees, and can you link me up with that fellow?
