My bosses I greet una. I am asking this question in regards to a friend. He has a Bsc in computer science and wants to apply for a post graduate certificate in computer application security. He is currently working at a job related to his field of study. Just to tackle the issue of purpose of visit, do you think this is in line He would have gone for masters but he has a 2:2.

THANKS

Does your friend has up to 3.0 CGPA ? If he does, let him check for MISSM at the Concordia University of Edmonton ( Alberta) ... he could get a masters program.

Hello boss,

Is it possible to ask your friend to come to nairaland and ask him/her-self. Aside that, there are other useful information on previous thread that could help him/her too.

I appreciate you helping your friend out but what happens when you become busy?

Advise him/her to come here and fish him/her-self.

Just saying though.

When did you apply?
The guy there at the Abuja office in Silverbird is good! He has quite an eye for details and arranged my documents well and made sure my forms were filled to the letter with no error. I didn't sign my SOE. He even detected it and made me sign it. I will highly recommend paper route. I think there is evidence that it's actually even faster to get a decision by paper route than online. And with paper you can link your application online after application, affording you pretty much of the only benefit that filing online has--the ability to check real updates online.

1. Pls great men in the building...Is it advisable to send SOP as a document to CIC e-mail after you have already submitted an application but did not include it.
2. If you receive a message to fill the form IMM 5476 ( use of Representative form), is there any implication if you chose to tick the second option which says "cancel the use of a representative'.

Good morning.
Someone wants to apply for TRV. He made all his WAEC but had a D7 in Mathematics. Although he wrote NECO GCE and made the Mathematics there but he didn't need the NECO GCE as he was admitted with the WAEC for an Arts discipline.
He intends going for masters in the arts discipline.
Does having a D7 in WAEC Mathematics have an impact on his documents he is submitting for TRV or should he remove the WAEC or add the WAEC and NECO GCE?
Please advise. Thanks.

If you're applying online, please stick to what you are asked to upload.
A lot of what you're listing here, I doubt you'll find the space for it
Only include additional docs if there is need for explanation eg. Change of name

Is WAEC Certificate compulsory for TRV application?

it's not a must you include your transcript. Are you working at the moment? if yes then you will need to submit proof (work ID, employment letter, payslip, letter on intro from your place of work )

Good morning all,

I applied to U of Sask last year for MA sociology but was declined. I intend to apply to University of Alberta- MA Sociology (MA Thesis bases Population life) which is more related to my course of study now.

Demography & Social Statistics

GPA 3.65/5 CGPA

Admission req- minimum GPA of 3.5 in the last two years of study

Years of experience in research/volunteer- 3years

I would really appreciate your advice and guidance through the application process before I start my application because I read here that U of A is quite competitive. Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have been a silent reader for a while, it's time to crawl out.

I plan on applying for PhD programs in Canada. I have been writing to potential supervisors, and so far I have gotten response from two, (UofS and McMaster). The only setback is that both of them in one way mentioned that 'Applicants who do not hold masters degree from North America's university are typically admitted to a masters program'. Actually that's not a problem for me, but I already hold a Master degree, and currently completing a research masters, another masters degree. Both in Mathematics (Mathematical Sciences and Applied Mathematics).

Please, I need suggestions from all the bosses in the house.
