Police operatives have arrested a young man for killing his own mother in Benin city, Edo state. According to multiple online reports, the young man killed his mother as he smashed her head open with a weapon for reasons best known to him.The incident which happened in the early hours of this morning at Iyamu street, off textile mill road in Benin caused panic in the area.

The young man has been arrested and is currently in police custody as investigation into the matter begins.
